Day 435

I know I've been 'missing.' I spent most of the day Saturday in bed with a horrendous migraine. Started to feel better around 2 pm so hubby and I took off the the night and got back home on Sunday. Was busy catching up on laundry and feeling lazy so never even turned on the computer. Then I woke up early this morning, head aching again. I drove straight to a home visit this morning, ended up with another unscheduled one and just got into the office. I'm here about an hour then we are off to an appointment with the radiation oncologist for hubby. AND it is raining 'cats and dogs' here ... meow, meow, arf, arf!!!

I weighed but it wasn't pretty so I'm just not dealing with it right now. You know me. I will deal with it. Just couldn't do it today. I'm feeling very discombobulated ... a very technical term!! My brains feel a little like scrambled eggs. Overwhelmed, emotional, a little nervous, edgy, but it will pass. The good news is I tried on my summer things (in preparation for Mexico) and everything fits just fine. The fluctuations come and go but my body size is doing just fine.

So ... thank you for your concern. I'm fine. Just a little frazzled. I hope you all are doing okay. Time for me to ponder what I am grateful for ... it really helps to center me ...

1. the knowledge that this frazzled time is just a time and I'll find my foundation again soon I hope!!
2. good times with my hubby
3. my mom being able to drive up and down the road again!!!
4. today
5. knowing, feeling, and believing that I am loved and I belong

Take care my friends ... I hope to catch up with you later!!

You and your migraines - do you take anything for them? I think there is migraine medicine out there, but I don't know the name of it. Maybe you should look into it? Anyway, don't worry about being "up" you know you will be back down sooner than you can step on the scale again!

Yes ... I have Maxalt. It works most of the time but not always. I've tried a zillion different things. Maxalt is the only one I've had a positive result from at least some of the time. I've had these lovely brain farts since I was 9 years old ... and usually keep up with the latest research and ideas about treating them. They come and go and I am fairly certain there is a hormonal component to them for me. For some people there are food triggers but not mine. It isn't stress ... I just have a defective brain. Migraines are similiar to seizures ... told you I was weird.

Hey Moose, I'm glad to see you back! those migraines can be so painful, I don't have very often and I think I'm lucky. they can come from too much pressure i the brain (you know that). High blood pressure is often caused by stress... Well, we always come to the same conclusion: RELAX! Definitely read if you can this book from Servant-Shreiber...I'm no help because I don't know what they choose for a title in English! I'll try to find out and get back to you on this. Hop your monday is going well!

Do you have a sinus component also? I benefit from a decongestant when I have a migraine, so you never know what will help. Mine are a combination of food, hormones, stress, allergies, and whether I am tired - only one I can control and that, not so well or I would not be overweight! Not saying I have any suggestion just sympathy!

Abba ... sinuses can be a component sometimes ... lately I think so. With the weather changing I can feel the change in my head. My poor head. Our poor heads. I think I asked my hubby to kill me several times on Saturday .... UGH.

Sorry to hear about the migraines. That's got to be terrible. Maybe part of your stress is coming from preparations for your upcoming trip. I get frazzled before going on trips because I try to get everything done before I go. Try to relax. Soon you'll be in Mexico!
