I went dancing last night, stayed 680 calories worth! Good. Working on a headache right now, probably due to so much dancing last night and not drinking enough water.
Still stressing out about the acquaintance with no place to live. Thank you to those who sent messages - I am working on taking care of myself.

some thoughts occurred to me in my reading the journals here:
5 reasons I am losing weight.
one:
I have arthritis in my foot, would like to reduce the strain on my feet in general.
two:
I have a strained/sprained ligament in my knee, hoping to reduce the pressure on the other muscles in that leg so my trick knee disappears. So far I have avoided falling down from that instability in that leg but I know it could just be a matter of time.
three:
I have a lot of belly fat which is bad for the heart they say - overall I think a good diet and less organ fat will help me be active in my later years. Already 60, so those years are coming up if they aren't already here!
four:
I think I might want to start dating again but I am not sure. Maybe if I were trimmer I would be more comfortable looking or not have to look because someone would pursue me. At the very least I would be happier with my appearance and that could just be enough without actually dating.
five:
Muscular is good. Obese is bad. I don't want to be obese anymore - at 170, I am in the obese range for my height, at 168 I am simply overweight (I think). Working on fitness too, so increasing muscle mass as much as dieting to burn fat.

You know why you want to lose weight and that's great! You are not too old to start dating so go for it regardless of your weight. The person needs to like you for you, not your size. You're doing great!

You are not obese at 170. That's actually my goal weight and I am almost 50 and 5'5" in height. What height are you? By the way, do not pay attention to the Bmi charts bc they do not figure in muscle weight. I used to be a weight lifter and have hidden weight with muscle, so 160 is my perfect weight for me. I would LOVE to be 160. Anyway, think about this......I know a football athlete that weighs 240 who has about 12% body fat and then my daddy weighs the exact same thing with 40% body fat......so you can see, the number on scale truly does not matter. Also, be careful dancing that long with a foot and knee problem. Good luck to you!!! Eating grain free and sugar free has cured so many ailments I had, but now I am waiting to get to my goal weight of 170 at least and maybe 160 depending.

How fun to go out dancing! I have always loved dancing and it's great exercise too. Awesome reasons and goals for loosing weight! It's amazing how even a 5-10 pound drop can reduce aches and pains. Keep your focus and love yourself! You are worth it and you can attain your goals!

@bentleyrollsroyce I am 5-2 and the obese designation is from the doctor's office. I know if I were 10% body fat at 170 I would be muscle-woman!
