Day 428
Weight 184.6 (up 2 lbs)

Rings are tight ... for whatever reason it looks like I'm swollen!! I did both my elliptical and Pilates yesterday and ate well. Ah ... tis the bounce factor!!

Woke up this morning to SNOW on the ground. Since it is still dark out I don't know how much is there. When we went to bed last night it was raining like crazy!! Obviously it got cold enough to turn to snow at some point during the night. Drat.

This morning I will get my car checked out and then to the office. I hope the car isn't anything too terribly expensive. We'll see.

Today I am grateful for ...

1. being 'in the range' despite a bounce up
2. laughing during "Did you hear about the Morgans?" last night
3. pushing myself to do Pilates even though I didn't really want to
4. an enjoyable weekend
5. being able to live with uncertainty

Have a marvelous Monday ...

Being able to live with uncertainty is a huge challenge for me and I am so "frienvious" that you can do it. :) Have a good Monday and tell that stupid bounce where to get off, will you?

Good luck with the car! Praying it's only something minor/unexpensive. :)

I hope the car isn't too expensive. We are expecting snow too. Go figure after such a beautiful day yesterday. My Macy money is good for about another week so I still have time and will get there. Have a great day Moose!

The part to fix the car is only $38.00 ... the labor is about $300!!!! Holy moley!!! Oh well ... what can you do???

Hmmmm, tippin' the scales and looking at a somewhat elevated repair bill huh? Not the best start to the day but, things have *got* to get better for you from here on out today moose. ;-) $338? Consider yourself lucky, these days, some of us pay more than that for routine maintenance. Enjoy the rest of the day my friend...

What can you do about the car? Call Loosin there in the Midwest and fly him in!! It might be cheaper and you could meet a FS buddie, to boot...a 'win win' situation. (LOL!) Or, you could try what my sister once did when her little Volkswagen Bug broke down. She was young, single and living tight on waitress wages and her broken little VW was being being held hostage and ransom by a bunch of no-good, lyin, cheatin mechanics who had spread Little Bug's parts all over the parking lot then told her when she came to pick up her car that they didn't know when it would be put back together....or what the final cost would be. My sister was scared but more pissed than scared - so fuming, she headed straight to a parts store, bought a manual, went back over there next day after work, sat down in the parking lot with the manual and fixed the damn thing herself! She said she was afraid and intimidated at first...but in was worth everything to see the looks on their faces as they watched 'a girl' put her car back together, piece-by-piece, then drive away from those varmints! Personally...I could never accomplish that... but necessity is the mother of invention..or is that desperation...or a thin wallet? Anyway, you get the picture. Have a nice day Moose!

doit2it ... WOW ... that's quite a story!!! I think I shall simply pay the varmits what they are asking for ... tempting but I think that might be the simplest way to go!!!

Yes, simple is better...but you probably won't get a good story out of it. (LOL!) Good luck... and how is it that cars 'know' to break down just when we paid all the bills and are in between paychecks? How is that?

Sometimes extra exercise makes me retain water - here's hoping your bounce is water weight!

Sorry about the car troubles darlin'...Especially with vaca coming...Depending on how *critical* the part is...there are lots of *backyard mechanics* these days! Some things I would only take to a garage...but other things...can be taken care of by one of the above...Good luck and hope your evening is better than your morning! hugggies

The movie was funny ... we all got some good chuckles out of it!!! As for the car ... no good stories for me ... just a thin pocketbook!!! Arrived home to see they delivered propane too ... to the tune of $2.02 a gallon ... geesh ... someone thinks I'm made of money!! LOL!!!

Abba I hope you are right ... I've been starving all day and trying not to eat!!! Just one of those days I think ... tired, hungry, and cranky!!
