I have to figure out how to be able to have my coffee without all the calories from the creamer.. I hate coffee black... hmmmm.... ate out for lunch but kept it light... I am not for sure what to make for dinner... I am not really motivated today. lol. day 2 of being back on track and I think that I am in a good head space because the force is strong with this one. I am planning on going to Vegas next year for my dirty 30! so, my goal is to get under 200 pounds before April of next year... that would truly be the greatest gift I could give myself. kinda tired of being the biggest girl in the room. I hate that I value other people's opinion of me so much. self help book recommendation? also, I am looking like crazy for low calorie dinners that the kiddos will actually eat.. any thoughts?

Everyone has an opinion about what makes the best diet. We are so flooded with people who are sure that their way is right, or it is "right" because that's the way it has been in all of living memory. . Try here: dietdoctor.com . He gives free dietary guidelines for the first two weeks, which includes all the recipes for each meal and the shopping list you need for them! The only thing I have to do with these people is that I did the first two weeks and discovered how good I felt! Since I started, I have lost eight pounds stress free.

What can you adhere to is the idea of a great diet. A self help book - - - ->maybe buy Duhigg's book on Habits. One issue with weightloss where people can struggle is the constant "what should I eat next syndrome" and decision making can become a downer so a 2 week guide with meals and recipes may be a great start. One thing I'd look at is if following the meals is going to be sustainable. Ask yourself if you'd prepare the meals and follow the program or try it for two weeks and then find another 2 week plan. The decision making is done for you and all you do is shop, prep, and eat. Alternatively, you may try to spread the 2 weeks over a month if prepping, cooking, etc isn't 100% your bag. IDK, you'll find what works. Also, try not to get hung up on labels like "good" "bad" "best" "ideal" "dirty" "naughty" when referencing food items and view them as fuel needed for day to day pursuit of life. Last, if you find reading to be rather boring try Oprah Winfrey's podcasts on positivity they will help you on those "bad" or "naughty" days....dat gum it......still using the labels. Best of luck.

I can't do black coffee either, I usually buy 'Coconut Creamer' from Trader Joe's. It doesn't taste like coconut, but it's fat free, vegan and has 5 calories per tbs. Adding that to the list for my grocery shopping tomorrow...

One of the things I always say is if you don’t love the taste of coffee, maybe you don’t like coffee ;) I moved to Numi Chocolate Peruh tea. It’s a nice change and still a warm beverage ritual. Or you can add a touch of coconut milk from a can (light) and a drop or two of peppermint or cinnamon essential oils (make sure it’s high quality). Remember, good fat is not your enemy, sugar is 😬 You’ve got this!

I stopped drinking hot coffee & made mine a blended slushy of yumminess. Not as healthy as i could get but it counts as a meal for me & i get my daily dose of caffeine! I put my coffee in the fridge the morning or night before then dump it into my personal blender bottle add ice & a scoop of protein powder, then blend it up.... occasionally i will add a scoop of PB2 for something different. Seems to work for me & my calorie count is down in terms of bad vs good.

On the coffee thing, have you tried spice blends? Or like vanilla or nut extracts? They can flavor without any calories. A little cinnamon and/or nutmeg does wonders for coffee. For more involvement, I've used a Moroccan spice blend before that is pretty tasty.

I don't drink coffee anymore, but had to have half and half in it and it had to be sweet. I drink hot tea now, with honey. I put 2 tablespoons in my big hot mug of tea today. Usually I drink a small cup with 1 tablespoon of honey. Wish I could drink it black so I understand how you feel.
