Am kind of discouraged today. Small loss as opposed to average of 2-3 lbs I have lost each week this past month. Intellectually, I know all the right response to this small loss. Its a LOSS....in the right direction...but the big baby ...in my is screaming ..."No NO NO" Just need to suck it up...re-set...keep going.

I understand! As you said, at least you are moving in the right direction. My scale is not moving the way I think it should, but my measuring tape is giving me better results, so I think I am not going to freak out so much about what the scale says. All the best!

I am losing weight I re-gained. I went for 2 months without a loss. Finally I lost 3 pounds and then the weight started coming off at a rate of 1 to 2 pounds per week. I refer to my progress 2 years ago. It is very discouraging how fast the weight comes back on it I do not stay on the proper eating plan. Hang in there. You will succeed.

Tyaki, I think instead of thinking of this as a Diet, we all need to start thinking of this as a "life Change" so we can stop the roller coaster ride and get on with living. If we use this as a training session, to teach us to eat better all the time, when we reach our goals, it will or at least should help us to maintain our selected weight/fitness goal and keep on instead of just going up again. There have been times that I have followed my diet flawlessly but found myself showing little to no loss on a weekly weigh-in. Sometimes, though, I find that weight and then some drops off at the next weekly weigh-in. My weigh-in today was disappointing as well, but I am trying to look at the average to keep my spirits up!

Keep your eyes on the big picture now. Have you measured your bod? Neck, shoulders, bust, biceps, waist, forearms, hips thighs and calves? When you think you are stalled weight wise, re-measure and you will be amazed at the inches lost. This may just be a blip and you may pick up your wonderful record of 2-3 lbs a week again. Maybe your body is busy making muscle right now. Whatever happens you are in for the long-haul right???

I really agree with SLLockhart. I think this is the first time in my life that I've ever been so in charge of my eating. I have made changes like eliminating things I cherished I.e. Bread and Butter. This is a life style change for me and I am feeling empowered. I think it's possible that you could hit a plateau if you've been losing 2 lbs. a week for a extended period of time? Check that you're getting 8-8 oz. glasses of fluids a day. Do some reading on jump starting your weight loss from a plateau. Good luck.
