I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it myself, but Day 1 and I'm down a pound. I know this Way of Eating works fast at the beginning, which is great inspiration. It's embracing the Big Picture as I approach my goal that I always find difficult. But today's not the day to worry about that. Today I take the energy of my first success and run with it!

A couple of challenges that surprised me yesterday were 1) Forgetting to drink my water and 2) In the evening, wanting something sweet. Eventually I drank 9 cups, but spread it out late in the day. And sweet-tooth-wise, I knew I could have created a sugar-substitute treat, but instead I cut up some red peppers, made a few tablespoons of sour cream and mayo dip with garlic powder and had a few slices of that. I was satisfied. If I don't feed the sweet tooth, it'll be easier to keep going.

Generally, I'm feeling pretty awesome about all this. I may even join the "Goal by Birthday" Challenge. I'll have to think about that.
154.0 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 16.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
