Romak's Journal, 01 February 2010

Woo hoo! I've started and it's been up and down. My energy is down, but I'm on plan. I forgot to drink the water all morning but now I'm up to six of my eight. I'll probably go for more than eight today. Just to get into the swing of things.

I started with my decaf and cream and a MIM, then later in the day I had a cheese snack, a hard boiled egg, celery, 5 small low carb meatballs, 2 plain roasted chicken wings, big salad with chicken.

I skiied, did some housework and some office work. I needed a nap midway through the day. This might be because I'm tired from a busy weekend, but I think the low energy happens the first few days I change my diet.

I didn't have cravings, per se, but I realized I wanted 'something' and I wasn't sure what, so I made cheese crisps. That worked. But emotionally there was definitely a 'need' going on, rearing it's head, and it wasn't about hunger.

Today, the first day, it feels like all the potential in the world is in my hands, hovering around my scale. So I feel good.
