Man, I've decided I don't like sugar free chocolates. They were tempting me all week up till Valentine's and then when I finally opened them...they were disappointing. I'm glad about this because I tend to overdo the 'sweet' bars and candies allowed on this way of eating.
Even though I look for an easy way out of my overweight, I have to just keep on keeping on. When I get frustrated with yet another week of no change on the scales, I keep harkening back to that great article I read that explains why scales don't move even though the amount of fat percentage in the body keeps decreasing. I'm going to go read that again.

It's been a week since my weigh-in, or thereabouts, and I didn't lose anything, but inches. I just have to be patient. I lost half an inch around my waist, and another inch around my belly for a total of 3 inches on my belly since the beginning of Feb. I really need that. Maybe I should concentrate on that and forget about the scale altogether, because not losing just depresses me!
If I threw it out it might be a good idea. Or give it to the sally ann. I think I will. And then I could weigh myself at work once a week. Hmmm. Good idea.
I've decided to give this weight loss my all, not just a mediocre try this time. Not just give up because the scales stay stuck. I exercised several times this week, so that's coming along.
So, problem one: the scale doesn't budge.
Problem number 2: sugar alcohols. I got sugar free chocolates for valentines and I just know that didn't help me. And they don't even taste that great. They don't taste like real chocolate, anyway. So my sweet tooth has come out of its lair again. I'm putting them on a high shelf now that valentine's is over. That way I won't reach for them when I walk by the table.

I rediscovered celery yesterday, with a smear of cream cheese. I also had a healthy amount of Kale. Roasted like chips. It was great, but I may have overdone it. Only I'm not sure how many carbs that was worth. There was no choice I could find for 1 cup roasted.
I've levelled off on my weight loss, as I anticipated, so I'm putting my scale away today and won't weigh myself till after the weekend every week from now on.
One week and 2 days into Induction. Still learning to tweak my diet by making sure I have enough vegetables, and variety in my diet. Pork, ground beef, chicken, and eggs. Next week I'll be able to add nuts to bring up my protein list. I bought some Omega3,6 type fish so I'll add that too.
