I try for 2 days, Tuesdays and Thursdays then I weigh in on a Friday morning.

I read on a fasting group that women get better results on 4:3 rather than 5:2. Perhaps do a trial week to see if that helps you lose at a faster rate.

Then I should move my weigh in day to Saturday because I cant do 2 fast days after each other.

Most people that do 4:3 have settled into making Mon, Wed and Fri as their fast days. I sometimes eat out on a Fri night after not eating the whole day and that still counts in a positive way. Perhaps keep your weigh-in day as a Thursday like I do because it allows you to offset any damage you do on a weekend by following a Fast Day(Mon), Low Carb Day(Tues) and Fast Day(Wed). These 3 days are really effective and gives you flexibility to enjoy your weekend and even a Friday night if you have to.

Some people also follow ADF - Alternate Day Fasting. They basically fast every second day. I can't bare to fast on a weekend. lol. And I like my fast days to be structured to the same days each week whereas with ADF your fast days will always change each week.

Hi there you 2. So what does a fast day entail if I may ask?

GB a "fast" day entails eating a maximum of 500 calories(600 calories for males). The trick is to eat food that are low in calories but high in volume. Foods like cabbage, butternut, mushroom, cucumber, lettuce, beetroot, brinjal, steamed chicken, etc. It's entirely up to you on how you do it. Some people choose to use their 500 calories in one meal for Dinner and some people choose to eat a lunch and a dinner but keep it 500 calories in total. Most people skip breakfast.

Okays cool. And I assume this is not bad with regards to health purposes as it ain't a fast like eating entirely nothing.
Think I should give it a go for a week and see how it goes. According to you comments above it seems like the ratio for me would be 5:2?

Who said that a fast of eating nothing is bad for you? I do 36 to 40 hour fasts without eating anything and I have improved my health by doing so :) Read up on www.thefastdiet.co.uk
