Pmaz, I'm sorry your wife's not supporting you. It makes it so much harder. I'm getting a lot of flack in the family as well. I also had to go gluten free, which really throws a wrench into things. A few people are finally starting to support that after 1 1/2 years. As I tell many of my female friends who use having to make meals for their families as an excuse not to try, whether you eat the same is up to you. Lamb patties and salad is a great choice and I'm so happy you were able to resist the lasagna. If you need supportive buddies, just send me a buddy invite.

I'm glad. I got it. I'm happy to have you for a buddy. My DIL raises grass fed lamb, so that's about the only meat on my menu.

I know we are not buddies but have you had an honest talk with your wife? Does she understand why you are doing this? I have family that tends to not believe in what I am doing, it is hard. However; if you have an honest chat - no yelling, no fighting, just a good old chat you may come out on top. I read your profile, you have 2 kids, I don't know how old they are but perhaps you can explain you want to set a good example for your children (examples can be set at any time). You have also only been at this for a month it may take her some time to come around to your new way of living, but if you keep doing what you are doing and show her that you can/will succeed with or with out her help/support maybe that will make it easier for her to come around as well. So far you have done an excellent job, keep up the good work. Good luck with the tests tomorrow, I am sure you will see some improvements.
