I recommend you continue your fast through Day 5. Day 5 is where the magic happened for me. I want the same for you: wellbeing, gratitude, freedom from care, love for mankind, increased libido.

I'm thinking I may take it to 7 days Lady, not really hungry just yet, still burning those 10,000 calories I consumed over the weekend I think! Yikes! Just the thought of all of it right now makes my tummy hurt! LOL!

Doobs, cloud cover would be great to shade us from that huge fireball in the sky, our ozone layer here must be very thin, when we went three hours south where the heat is more intense, the sun did not seem as strong. Sitting here with it blazing down on us it feels like it is right there....I don't really know how to describe it. I am a solar powered person I love sunshine but we are having an overdose here right now.

I feel for you Debra. I don't like it too hot now I'm older. About 70 to 75 is just right for me.

I'm seriously impressed. I have only tackled a 24 hr fast. Good for you, I'm sure you can do it to day 7 if you want. Very interested in what the scale has to say after you break fast. Keep up the good work!

LOL Frankie, after my all you can eat weekend, I'm going to be very surprised if I have a loss over 4 lbs, carb cycling is one thing, a 10,000 calorie three day eating spree is entirely another! We shall see come Wednesday! :)

I think what you're doing is great. The longest I've gone so far is 21 hrs. but I'm considering eventually going longer. Good for you.

I am happy you are able to put aside the well-meaning "advice" and do what is right for you and your program.

Fasting is good for your health. It's been practiced in cultures world-wide for ever! You're just giving your body a rest and reset. Wonderful!

Woot! You go, gurl! Thanks for the words of encouragement on my journal...you're kind. I'm so glad you're doing this extended fast. I will be looking forward the hearing all the results. Not just weight-related, but overall feelings, health, etc. I've gone 48 hours, and felt fine. A true long term fast is very different in its effects on the body than IF. Both are beneficial, for sure, but in different ways.

You got it Doobs, it's not a diet, it's not a program, it's simply the way I eat or don't eat as the case may be :) so WOE
