Why can't I get it through my thick head that you can't out run the fork. If I applied the same intensity towards sticking to my macros as I do exercising, I would be dropping pounds. Uugh!! So I am in this corporate daily steps challenge that lasts 4 weeks. It started yesterday and ends in 3 weeks 6 days. Yesterday I logged 16,889 steps with a planned 25K + for today (It should be in the bag considering I am at 13,895 and it is only 11:37 AM EST. At least I am hitting my macros today. HELP!

We are similar, exercise is the easier part for me also. Look at the bright side, with that down pat you've only got one thing to focus on. :) Hang in there with it.

Carbs are sooooo addictive. They just call me and I shove them in my face like a weakling. Heading to the fridge to eat my LCHF chili and keep my eyes on my prize.... building a newer stronger me.

Stay strong my friend. Say NO to carbs.

A lot of foods can cause binging behavior. Try substitutions for foods you know make you go on a psycho feeding frenzy. I've been resisting the temptation for the last three days to devour some cream cheese croissants I picked up at a local bakery for my girls. Good thing it wasn't the Shipley's cream filled, those are like crack, not the Bavarian style cream in those, it takes like a cross between marshmallow and cotton candy cream, and they use potato flour in their doughnuts. Ugh! lol I haven't had any of those in over a year. lol

I enjoy your sense of food humor! I look forward to adding friends to my account. Do you have any idea how I do it I'm new to the app and I would like to add people I know.

I think I know what I haven't been doing that could be a game changer for me and it should get me back on track. WATER. I am probably dehydrated. I don't want to drink too much in the mornings because there is no where to stop to go pee on my walk in the city plus I like to keep a certain pace. The other issue is I stop drinking all liquids by 2:30 because of my commute situation and when I get home, I either eat dinner and have a drink and before you know it, it's time to go to sleep. Going to rehydrate this evening and skip the alcohol with dinner and finish up this 25K steps and grab my trophy and scream out loud tonight. I will start adding my H20 intake just like food and see if this makes a difference. That is my plan. I got this and I got my FS Family!!!!

Found out for myself that increased water intake has been useful. After I had swelling issues and got serious about change I really added in more water. It seemed to help with lymphatic stimulation (PT recommended it) and clearing out my system. Just thoughts of logging fluids in my calendar has tempered my caffeine intake and upped my water use! May follow you with actually doing it if I fall backwards.

Skipping the alcohol is a good idea.

Try pre-planning your meals for the day and stick to it. Take your lunch and snacks to work. You can do it, Ches!

Thanks Mom, I made enough chili for the week and brought it in and ate it yesterday and today. I need to invest time and make some fat bmbs. I bought 4 packs of cream cheese a few weeks back and should put them to use before they go bad. Scratch everything I just typed. Someone is having a baby in the office and brought over cake. Me being polite had to take a slice or else I look like the bad guy. I took the tiniest slice 1/4 thick. Oh no. I don't want to log it. I am hopeless. 4 more mile today will burn off the cake but for Ketosis, I may be doomed. I need to get out of the office before something else bad happens.

Not a quitter. Sitting on a park bench now enjoying the cool breeze. 19,532 steps logged fitbit. Going to and catch a nap on my commute back home and hope this will recharge my batteries and get me to my goal of most steps in a day. I will update all tomorrow. Take care and thanks all for your support.

You are right, you can't out run the fork. You know the drill, drink plenty of water, I suggest adding fiber and log your food intake just before you choose what to eat. I don't know how many times I had planned to eat one thing only to find out it was just too many calories. Usually I can find an alternative that is just as satisfying...

Just remember that if you're doing low carb/keto that every time you eat any significant amount of carbs/sugars you knock yourself out of ketosis and it's going to take about a week of carb/sugar restriction to switch back into ketosis.

Hi - here's an idea so you don't look like the bad guy at work. Take the slice of cake and say you'll eat it later. Put it out of sight in a drawer or something and then, when no-one is looking, wrap it up and throw it away. I've done this a few times.

Really, Really great suggestions everyone. Thanks. I not only hit my goal of 25k steps yesterday (a personal best) but took it a step further with another personal best when after my taunt to my competitor if he still had gas in the tank, was received with a "yes". I got off the couch went back downstairs and logged another 5k steps for a grand total 30,865 steps for the day and pulled the plug @ 9:30 and was in bed and sleeping by 10:30. Taking it easy today with steps, kind of, back up @ 4 and already at 6,423 steps. I will probably be between 12 & 14K before the end of the day with only a planned easy walk at lunch. I have my chili again and drinking black iced coffee today.
