In so much pain today. I never get this backed up (yes I know tmi, oh well - it's my entry) if I am eating right. Transitioning back to my diet isn't helping speed things up either. Hoping for a better day tomorrow, a day where I don't feel like someone is kicking my abdomen to bits.

Lavender essential oil on your stomach area (stomach , not lower abdomen) helps get things moving :) Also Miralax you just mix with a drink. A day or two and you'll be groovy....

@Lotusblossom2112 Thanks! I don't have either, but usually when this type of episode happens the next day is better. I really need to buckle down and quit eating crap that triggers it.

(wife and daughter always taking my stuff is what lead me to this conclusion...) Had a headache and wanted some Motrin...nope' the women of the house had used it all up.."cramps" is what they said. I gave them a bottle of Percogesic (Magnesium Salicylate 500mg)...same stuff as Doan's Back Ache pills...cramps are a LOT less and as there is no cramping...no pain. Now when I have a back ache....no pills....figures

Lol!! Sounds like everyone needs their own stash. From what I gather pain meds make constipation worse and not better.

Try drinking Synergy trilogy live probiotic drink! I use them all the time and they set your belly right! Also use green Vibrance.. Never any issues with this double team! Google the green one to see where you can find it. I get it at Wegmans. Good luck!

As a chronic pain sufferer who has to take opiate pain killers on a daily basis, I also have constipation as my enemy no. 1. That was the reason why I had to go off LCHF before and after my recent surgery. I can give you my tips, what I do to "get things moving". As diet in general: don't skip on water, it's very important to drink at least 6 x 8 oz a day. I have an empty bottle of Sobe vitamin water that I put water in, and I know i have to drink at least 3 of those in a day (it's a 16 oz bottle) but usually I drink about 5. Don't skip on fiber - I usually eat a lot of cabbage; an important bit of information, I noticed that on LCHF I very, very rarely get gassy, so cabbage has no influence in that respect. When I feel I am getting stopped up, I would eat seeds, as in a fistful or two of nuts, or a couple tablespoons of chia seeds or even wheat bran. I also take dayly 3-4 gelcaps of colace (stool softener). I very, very rarely take senna as it gives me horrible painful cramps. But tbh I did go ahead and bought a reusable enema kit on Amazon. and if push comes to shove, I don't wait and I do use it. I use chamomile tea instead of warm water in it, that way it also has a disinfectant and anti-inflammatory effect. Yes, constipation is really nasty on LCHF.
