Love deer meat but didn’t have another rig to load it up. Additionally, Oregon has roadkill harvest restrictions but I‘m sure someone else will benefit. Hunting wasn‘t a thing where I grew up so I never got into it. I‘ve never dressed a deer. Too bad you weren‘t there MM2 to show me the ropes.

I so hear you. Every third vehicle around here is sporting 'deer dimples," including my trusty Old Red T&C van. Did you at least get to keep the venison or did Natural Resources take it away for needy people in your township?

You weren’t hurt though???? Hope not!!!!! Bet the poor deer was. Ouch. Glad you’re ok. I’ve seen many moose/deer accidents where the outcomes were more than a destroyed car. Cars can be replaced, people cannot. ❤️

I hit a dog at 100 km/hr (60 miles per hour). Mine is 21 yo. A new one costs 36000 euros. No way! Although I am an extremely emotional eater I just could not eat anything. This kind of sadness drives me to extreme fasting.

Thx Kat for the support. It was just one of those "meant to happen" moments. I suspect Klotho was quite pleased with herself. If I hadn‘t waffled for 1/2 hour about going nor stopped for bait, it probably wouldn‘t have happened. I was also driving under the speed limit which is a rarity for me so there‘s that calculation too. Sucks all around but as you say so often "Move on, move on…“ 👍
