Some days are worse than others. Don't give up. Is not just about weight but also health and you are taking care of your self

Maybe not relevant for you, but then again maybe.... I've noticed that FS set my calories at 1500. So it seems I'm often "pushing the envelope", i.e. eating right up to the 1500 and sometimes a bit beyond. I'm thinking of trying to keep it at 1400 in my tiny pointed head. 🤣 Then I'll have a few to work with if I need another snack or something. As Unity said (I think it was Unity), it's a head game. It's really discouraging when we stall but maybe plateauing is part of the process?

Don't give up! There are always different tweaks to try and different tools to track progress other than the scale (measurements, clothing sizes, pictures). If you're working out with high protein, you could likely be replacing fat with muscle, and that is a glorious thing! What kind of workouts do you do?

When your weight loss stalls, it is time for a change. Swap out some of your foods with other hopefully better foods. Weight loss is a science. Experiment with different foods and exercise to find what works for you. Try to avoid deprivation and will power as your only weight loss tools.

Don’t give up—adapt a different approach. For example, maybe you’ll do better on a higher fiber diet, full of veggies and fruit, beans, etc. If you’re eating less than 1000 cal a day (and exercising on top of that), your body will say nope. It’s a normal response to a starvation diet.

*adopt, not adapt!

If I may ask, how many grams of carbs and sugar are you consuming daily? What about fats? If you are eliminating carbs and sugars from your diet, your body needs fats to continue manufacturing energy to keep your organs functioning. Also, remember that too many grams of protein will convert to amino acids, which will convert to sugars that will be stored as fat. As a disclaimer, I'm not giving anyone advice on what they should do with their body. I'm only giving advice on what has worked for me over the past year. My diet consists of 25% protein and 75% fats. The amount of carbs I consume is virtually nonexistent. I might consume 3 grams a day, and these are from the vitamins I take. I am down 124 pounds this year with very little effort, other than being very strict on my food intake. It's not a diet you can be on a few days and then have a "cheat day." Once you introduce carbs and sugars back into your diet, it will take 1 to 2 weeks before the metabolism will start again. If you follow my steps, it will take about 3 weeks before your metabolism starts to optimally run fat for energy.

Good morning! All the comments on fats, protein, carbs, etc are too complicated! If we take in less calories than we burn, we will lose we Weight! 😊

Your listed weight isn't that high. Are you sure you have weight to lose? What is your height? The body fights back when people are constantly dieting due to stress and hormone changes. If you really think you need to lose weight give yourself a break and try again in a month or so.

Low carb is deceiving. You have about 3 lbs of water weight you lose when going under your threshold of carb tolerance so if you happen to eat hidden carbs (like when eating out) or otherwise, you automatically gain that water weight back by the next morning. I did ultra low carb (under 30 grams) for over a year. It’s not sustainable unless you can give up all fruit (except maybe a few berries here and there and definitely no pasta, bread, tortillas, etc).

What is your height? I’m 5 ft 1” and would LIKE to be 105 which is within my healthy weight for my height but I’m also realistic that because of my age/metabolism, that may not be possible or what’s best for me.

I don't work hard enough at it.

I am 5" so I have the same problems. When I was in high school 98 pounds, then doubled my weight when on predisone. Now losing again. I lost 25 pounds using 5 diet shakes a day then 2 diet shakes and one meal. Right now, I am maintaining with 6 snacks and no meals. Not sure what will work for you, but do not give in.

I found that I love a k-pop band's music videos and it has inspired me to work out more effectively and harder. The group is SF9, if you want to check them out on YouTube.

Stay encouraged. I empathize with you and can relate to your frustration. You will get there. Yes, there will be road blocks, set backs, and bumps on the journey, but I believe you will accomplish the goal you have for yourself.. You got this!!
