Is it because I’m eating fungus? They’re good raw, you just have to wash them. I like them cooked, too. BUT I only eat the grocery store kinds raw - maybe you’re reacting to what they grow in which would make sense. They serve them in salad bars raw, so I’m not a crazy person.

raw cured fish eggs - was joking that they're bait. you can use them as bait, but kinda expensive. that said, I have absolutely made the foray into other non-standard fish eggs (salmon and trout), but I don't eat anything preserved in a neon dye.
