Life in the Low Carb Lane... still running smoothly. Today: GYM - Finish Entrance - Clean Upstairs Bathroom !!! In that order! :)
Yesterday we had an in-depth conversation about a film called Food,Inc. (which I have not personally watched.) But my middle son, and my husband both have. So, I purchased (at their request) some authentic 100% grass fed organic beef. And we had steak tips for dinner.
Almost 50% more costly...but 1000% more tasty!!! What a major difference. Just the taste alone was worth the experience.
So on top of my cleaning projects...I will be looking for a butcher that sells high quality, clean, organic meats. We may eat it less often, but it will certainly be much better for us!

Hi Paula, find some one that raises beef cattle and also has a meat packing plant. Our friend and partner in raising the cows we have has one.
We also raise ours on grass and they have no antibotics etc. So yes the
meat is soo good. You can buy a half a cow. We split one with him.

There really is a huge difference in the organic beef and the normal supermarket offerings. I grew up on a farm and our family would butcher cows, hogs, chickens and when I bought my first 'organic beef' I was crying the whole time over the price until I got it home and cooked it. It was like the meat we ate when I was growing up. I had never realized the huge difference until that day. I can't buy it often, but I do treat myself occassionally. btw...that offer is still good if you want to come on over and do my house when you're done with yours! ☺ ☺ ☺
