jengetfit123's Journal, 21 October 2021

Quit my job on Sunday (the beauty of a low paying job is you don't have to put up with a snarky coworker if you don't want to), and have done quite a bit of celebratory eating and drinking since Monday. I am going to attempt to log as much as I can but it is going to be a ballpark at best. I still maintained my fasting windows, for what that's worth.

There are actually a lot of things I like about the job, one of which is that I can tell I am getting physically stronger. And I log cooking in my exercise journal. And I finally have been timing it so I fast on work days. So I think I am going to get another cook job. I am thinking about a pizza place.

These are the two meals I took pictures of. Chicken guacamole wrap, veggies and bean soup; zoodles with black lentil bolognese and ricotta, and more bean soup.

Not pictured are an awesome burger and fries with several greyhounds from my favorite place (although i also had a big garden salad). Roomie and I chucked our chores and went to sit on a beautiful enclosed patio on a gorgeous 75° fall day.

I made a big pot of white chicken chili yesterday, so I will be changing up the soup, lol. Also did a bunch of prep. Just going to keep getting back on track!

Beautiful food, Jen! And you are absolutely right that you can walk away from a irritating or bad work situation when another job is easily obtained. I have three jobs, but my low paying employment is my favorite place... Because of the people. Coworkers and bosses make or break it. Good luck finding a place you like better! 😁 ❤️

Ty Melissa! Yeah, basically the only fun person left, and the rest are big downers or have napoleon complex. I want it to be fun!

I wish you the best. Something else will come. I’ve lived it over and over. Toxic environments are the worse!

That is so true ... nobody is indispensable and job position and those who hire - can feel free to replace you with someone else - at any time at all. lol. I have told more than one employer that fact ... they usually learn that fact after hiring - about the 4th employee to fill your prior position --- most of the time - I was not looking for a job when hired for that job. Good for you - nobody has to put up with toxic co-workers. The food looks great.
