Cleaning out the fridge. Any ideas? I toss this many every couple of months. Whites are poppyseed, brown are sesame and i have used them to marinate chicken.

Lol. Guess today is clean out frig day but also hit the freezer also. Have a bad habit of putting away left overs but find myself throwing them out. My kids never liked leftovers but finding myself with the same habit. Bad I know but occasionally when in a Crunch I cave or try to expand whatever into a new dish

I love the salad mixes, but never been huge on dressing in general. Which is not a bad thing. I guess I'll keep two of the sesame one and toss the rest. There's really no nutritional value to them. Notice there are no extra bags of the crunchy stuff. 😋

No clue!! 🙃 I clean out one shelf daily, that way there’s never a big chore, it takes me only a few minutes, it’s all nice and clean. Yet, now that my husband is not working and he is a bit like Chef Sk.17, I am not sure how sparkling clean it will stay.😬 They make refrigerators circular, because that would make them 360 degrees. 😁👍🌸

I toss things out when they expire or after 3 days if I don't freeze them. Sesame chicken sounds good. Poppyseed muffins too are good. =)

bahahahaha I have a stash of those in the fridge too!!! I have also used them for marinades. I wish I had some more creative ideas. Chinese chicken salad? A healthier version? hermmmm

I haven't been forced to be creative since lockdown. I'd probably have found some way to put them in a salad of some sort where people like tons of dressing. It's just not me. I made a zoodle salad out of cucumbers once, it had a sesame dressing that I made, but this would have been easier. but not something I'd make for myself. that was an excellent salad. cucumber noodles, red onion and red pepper with little pieces of feta in it.

I add them to a ground meat when I make burgers

Oooh, now that's a good idea! I make ground turkey about once a week and it definitely needs flavor.

I like the ground meat idea too!!

What do these packets come from?

Gib, they come out of my Taylor Farms salad mixes. I'm kinda burned out on spinach right now, so hitting these pretty hard. Except for the dressings.

You could add it over quinoa with veggies? Do you know the calories per serving or can estimate?

@Gib, I can only estimate. Looking at the ingredients, there is no redeeming value to the poppyseed other than keeping some on hand for when I have guests. I did a simple search on the sesame and I will be using it on the grill and for marinating for flavor. It's not as bad as the poppyseed, but other than adding flavor, no real nutritional value. Effectively junk food under the guise of "healthy" so no loss either. I don't like wasting stuff, but meh.
