So everyone is always in search of the elusive and mystical "woosh". Well, it's quite easy to attain.

Step #1: Eat lots of food and have a huge gain on the scale the next morning which gives the appearance that you got fat overnight somehow.

Step #2: Go back to eating normally and make sure to pee for the next few days. This will get you comments like "nice drop!" and make you feel like a champion with all these little losses after your binge the other night.

Step #3: Spend a few minutes performing a food-ectomy on the toilet a day or two later. You'll feel like a new person and everyone on FS cheers and is your best friend!

Step #4: Easy lots of food again to disappoint everyone in the community and get encouraging comments like "you got this!" or "don't worry about it!"

Now you've seen behind the curtain. Wooshing is just simply eating and using the bathroom. Nothing fancy. The same thing we get excited about for toddlers while potty training seems to carry over into our adult weight loss lol!

Why you gotta ruin the mystery for everyone?

I laughed aloud...and yes, it is true and no mystery really...except I do not do the binge part and still need the whoosh!

When you hit maintenance and the line in a profile is very apparently blue - those celebratory FS wooshes take on a whole new level of hilarity. Of course, in this girl's case I kept having them well past my goal and felt compelled to provide a constant rationalization for why I kept losing...it was everything I could do to keep these hands from typing - "I promise on all that is holy that I am not starving myself!!!" Only to discover on FS, it would not have mattered if I was, someone would just assume I was "intermittent fasting" and give me a heart, regardless. LOL

I give hearts just for showing up. Like kindergarten. Has nothing to do with seeing a daily gain or loss, I figure everyone has different goals and I can't keep track of my own life, much less everybody on here.

Funny - I'm about to confess that I've gained back the 5 lbs I lost earlier this year. I have experienced a fair number of "whooshes," and frequently DON'T record weekend weight gain for the very reasons you listed, so maybe I'll just do that again😉 Or not.
