Binky it was 617 calories. One serving of pasta (200 calories), one sausage link (240 calories), pasta sauce, canned tomatoes, celery, onion, green pepper, a splash of red wine, spices & a sprinkle of parmesan. I measure out the ingredients and limit myself to one serving. I have conditioned myself to not have more. It was filling & even my Hubby decided against a second serving.

This looks like the perfect meal to have on a cold evening. You said the magic words here, thanks to FS and you guys, I’ve learned all about accountability and portion control. So good for you for having it, and monitoring your portion. Well done

Pasta used to be my downfall. I seldom stopped at 1 serving, even if I felt full. I enjoyed the taste so much, I usually had at least a little bit more. I often only cook enough for 1 serving each for Hubby & I these days to avoid temptation. Hubby was insistent I cook a little more last night but in spite of having leftovers we both were full and resisted having more. 😊 He said he was happy he now had some for lunch.
