Day 4 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
Blood sugar 99 mg/dL

Yesterday I took in over 1,000 calories. When I look back on my numbers, I lose weight on low carbs, over multiple days. Therefore I continue to believe in it. I do not try to cut my calories and go low carb at the same time.

I also need to not GAIN weight. For the past few months, I have consumed 10 times the carbs on the weekend than I do during the week 😫! When I look back on the periods where I lost pounds, that, so far, have NEVER come back, I did not do this 🤔.

So, this weekend, I will try to keep my carbs below 50. I also planned to 🏃🏾 run every day but, it is going to 🌧 rain this weekend...

@anaserk - Haha Thanks! On a 'spiritual' level, getting ☔ rained out is a good thing for me. It doesn't allow me to get the 'Ego' boost from artificially 'manipulating' the scale (like I did last weekend), by dropping a lot of 💦 water weight. I will now be forced to only move the scale through diet. As you know, this is the only thing that matters in the long term, because my 'water weight drops' always get 'reversed' a few days later anyway...

I tried to fast more today, but I drank a teaspoon of coconut oil with coffee, three cups of chicken broth and filtered vegetables. I do not know what I did called fasting of some kind? I'm trying to get into the status of the ketosis, starting on Monday, trying to accelerate the loss of the hardest and last five kilos. Then I return to my previous low carb high fat.

I have already asked you about fasting on solid food. But I did not find a good type of protein powder in my town. I wonder if I can replace it with Greek yoghurt , containing every 100 g at 5 g carb, 3.5 g protein, 10 g fat. Thank you . You are my inspiration, and good luck in your fast free of solid food.💪

@Nadeen 31 - When I first started trying to 'fast' I would drink a McDonald's milkshake each day. This was STILL an improvement, 'carb wise,' over eating a Mc Donald's big breakfast in te morning, a Carl's Jr "Meal" for lunch, and a Mc Donald's "Meal" at dinner (like I usually did). But, for me, It-was-still-a-fast! (only drinking liquids). I needed 'baby steps' - - So what you're doing, well, you are already doing 10x better than what I did! Good Luck!
