Hey, I did surgical menopause 3 years ago, gained 35 pounds. Total nightmare. I finally found a good doc, got me on estrogen cream. It really helped my brain and the hot flashes. I can't believe your doing it with no meds. I tried. Keep up the great work. I also gave up sugar. I'm keto. And I don't do well with caffeine. I mix half decaf with my regular coffee. Then I get decent taste. I'm on GA and also work from home but I start at 3-4 am lol.

Some natural supplements helped me. Cohosh and Soy were part of it, don't remember as so long ago.

Jcmama— just stick to your eating plan and physical activity program and you can do just fine. . You do not have to gain weight with menopause if you just keep doing your program.

It’s been a worry of mine. I will just keep doing what I’m doing. I was put on progesterone Norethindrone 5 mg a day to shut down my periods a month ago until I get my hysterectomy. I was afraid they would make me gain weight because I’m so tired on them😩 that’s why it took me over 2 weeks between my weigh ins. I still lost but I cannot do the amount of squats I was doing before.

meds can do that. My old migraine preventative made me gain no matter what I did. Also steroids are good at that. With asthma I live on steroids so have to pay attention everyday or I gain it back .

There are so many factors that effect weight. Inflammation from working out, salt intake, general ups and downs. Stay focused on healthy habits and you’ll be just fine!

JenJabba thank you for sharing! I did no coffee yesterday and sipped a tea off and on. Guess what I felt better. I love the taste of my coffee, but it’s not a requirement for me. So looks like back to my one cup and see how that works. Then if need be I’ll switch to half and half on it. Those early mornings are kind of rough!!!

Jcmama this surgery has been the best thing for me. Feel free to send me a personal message and I’ll share with you my experience.

Jcmama my body is responding so much better to Keto and working better since the surgery. I had to have a full abdominal surgery due to fibroids making my uterus too large for the LAVH. I’m losing now when I struggled to lose before.

Jamie you're doing great 👍. jcmama don't worry about gaining weight. I had my hesterectomy almost 2 wks ago & have not gained. But you won't be doing squats for a couple wks. Inside cycling is my thing. With the many stiches it will take me another wk to try to get & off the cycle. However we're all different. Good luck 👍
