Day 3 of a planned 5 day fast

I dragged my butt out of bed this morning for a 5 mile run. I feel much better. I am taking in too many carbs each day because I haven't stopped drinking my flavored coffee drinks. As long as I don't break my 'no solid food' fast I am just accepting my human limitations for today.

Otherwise, after months of fasting this feels 'easy to do'. I really like not having to 'chase hunger' and to constantly try to balance 'feeling full' with not over eating. I do a very bad job of it. When fasting I am freed of this addiction.

Nice job on the run!

@Steven Lloyd - Thanks! I NEVER want to exercise when I am feeling lethargic during a fast. It always takes 10-15 minutes into the exercise for that to change. After that it is ALWAYS "Wow I feel great". Walks are easier to start, but, not as rewarding as a 700 calorie work out. However, I will take it if that is all I can do. I have not missed an hour of walking everyday.

Agreed, walking is often underrated & overlooked, but still a foundational activity for all of us. Way more beneficial than just the calories consumed, if you are lucky and have a good friend, spouse or dog to walk with...even better! 🤙👍

@Steven Lloyd - My wife and I take a 45 minute walk every day after work (this gives me about 7k of my 12k steps each day). We found the time by cutting watching TV time. Really recommend this for a marriage.
