Day 7 of a planned 11 day fast

I did a post yesterday: "How I lost 4 pounds in one day (again)" https://bit.ly/2xYXc0e that covers how my day went yesterday. This explains the drop today (basically I ran 7 miles).

What I want to share is my sleepless night last night. I drank some bone broth and nearly 2 liters of water and then went to bed at my normal time. But, my body was wide awake.

Here is what I 'think' my body was saying:

Oh man! what did he do today! He lifted weights and then went on a 7 mile run and then went for another 1 hour walk with his wife afterwards! This guy has left me with a TON of work to do to get everything back in order. Oh man! I have to get the blood glucose back into acceptable range, I have to get the pancreas on the same page with the insulin. God knows the liver is gonna bitch but we gotta do what we gotta do...

... Now this guy has finally laid down I can get to work. I wish him luck trying to sleep while I turn all these processes on but he brought all this on himself, homeostasis is real and it is my job to make it happen...

... Now lets see what I have to work with. I've little glycogen to work with in the liver because he flushed that out with all the exercise, he even dumped out most of the stores in the muscles with the weight work outs. So glycogenolysis is out. Hey liver, Is ketogenesis online or are we still in gluconeogenesis? At least he gave me plenty of water because I'm gonna need that to bind to the glucose... This could all be my imagination. Maybe it was just the latte :) Anyway I got to sleep eventually woke up feeling great.

Today I plan just a 5 mile run and a walk with the wife.

Also, because of the latte 'issue' yesterday (I took in 14 carbs that I simply did not need during a 'water' fast), I found a new drink at Starbucks that I think Dr. Fung would approve of. It is called the Caffè Misto. Get it in the "short" size and it is only 5 carbs. It is only coffee and whole milk (As Dr. Fung suggests - for some reason he does not advise skim milk). I had one, waited an hour and my glucose reading shot up only 9 points.
179.0 lb Lost so far: 28.0 lb.    Still to go: 15.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I get this crazy feeling that I need to stretch and no matter how many times I do, it persists. I even get out of bed and do stretches and it helps, but not completely. Makes it hard to sleep, but I felt rested still when I got up.
