June 8 - woke up to the worst possible news regarding Provincial election results - not happy about that but glad I am working at home today - and it's FRIDAY - Hooray! Our best friends are coming for dinner - they're bringing pizza and salad - I'm going to decline pizza and eat a little keto before they arrive... I don't think they'll get the whole 'keto' thing and I'm not up to explaining.
Started out making Keto bread - with almond flour - I have some things to learn - it wasn't a fail but the centre bottom of the loaf stuck to the pan, so it's a bit unsightly. Not quite like wheat bread but at least it's bread-like - taste is good.
Next I made an almond flour crust for this recipe - Chocolate silk pie http://ketodietcafe.com/try-decadent-keto-chocolate-silk-pie/ - Crust looks good, albeit a little lumpy looking... Haven't made filling yet - will update tomorrow as it's for dessert tonight.
