Happy Sunday all. I bought some nutritional yeast today and it is a new product for me. I love umami taste and was thinking this may be something I will like. Just wondered what you guys may use it for. Any tips or ideas????

I am dairy free - I use it to replace the parm cheese on things like spaghetti, risotto, alfredo. You can make dairy free cheese and add it. It also has a lot of protein - you can add it to any pasta, put it in savory oatmeal, buckwheat, rice, etc

I used to use it and just eat it as it was. I've heard some people use it instead of cheese in recipes.

I love this stuff! Sometimes I like to put a little sesame oil on toast and sprinkle this on top with garlic powder for “cheesy” garlic bread 😋

This site has a lot of different recipes that use nutritional yeast - some cheese sauce substitutions, and even this Alfredo sauce: https://eatplant-based.com/vegan-alfredo-sauce/

I use it on everything... salads, eggs, avocado, rice... sprinkle little here and little there... also instead of cheese when I make my homemade vegan pizza

Love nooch! I add it to pretty much everything, if I'm being honest. One of my favorite combos is nooch + garlic powder + dry dill weed + a dash of salt. I put that on steamed veg, baked potatoes, popcorn, salads, rice, tofu, mixed in to things like polenta and burmese tofu (like polenta but made with chickpea flour)... It's super versatile and SO good.

I never heard of it either. What does it taste like and what are the benefits?

This is good to know, especially with the comments! I have bad reactions to dairy, so I’m thinking this could replace it somewhat. Never even knew this was a product. The FS Family is a good one. ❤️

I use nutritional yeast in place of cheese/in tons of my vegan dishes, and it's amazing! tastes amazing, and it adds a ton of flavor/substance!
