Not today Coranavirus!! Not today influenza B( the strain I didn’t catch. So about today. Just busy. Medical suppliers have now put a limit on face masks 😳😳 we had some on back order, we ended up getting one box, not a case, a box. All medical face masks are being stipend to all medical facilities from hospitals to specialists, family medicine, urgent care.... all of them!! Go to Amazon and try to order, it was 4-6 weeks before delivery. Not trying to raise hysteria. Just be safe all. Today a patient ordered us pizza from the place I get my favorite salads from. If it’s free it’s for me🤗 and I’m pretty sure I ran those calories off!! 🏃🏻‍♀️ 💜 🩺😷🤧🤒 2 slices of Hawaiian pizza 🍕. I packed some lamb meatballs only with a little beef gravy so I would not waste a beautiful stuffed pita Incase it got soggy. Raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, one Laughing Cow swiss wedge. In other news, my hubby has been a huge support to me and loves the way we eat and might join FS with me🤗🤗♥️💃🏻💜💚 He is a Construction worker 👷🏻‍♂️ has always been strong as hell. He is looking to get his muscles defined .

Oh for sure Silkiian♥️😷🧤I’m already immunodeficient with RA, severe asthma and the Plaquenil, Methotrexate and the inevitable Prednisone I need for both. Thanks friend ♥️💜💚 This face mask issue is a little alarming 😳😳 the reality is thousands die from influenza in the US alone. We focus on influenza first, and it makes sense! I almost died from it, but this on top of influenza season😩

The only masks that actually work are the N95 and they need to be hood fitted and taste tested to be reliable. This is a new virus so they are unsure how long it lives on surfaces. Good old Clorox wipes to keep phones, counter tops, bathroom fixtures and door handles clean. Maintain personal space; don’t shake hands, hug and as always, WASH YOUR HANDS and keep your hands away from your face. This virus came from a bat. How the bat got it is unknown. But the first patient was a cook or chef who was preparing bat meat and rubbed his eyes.

I agree with everything 🙌🧼🧼😷🧼🧼but also any mucosal barrier is better then nothing. Thankfully we have a few boxes of the other masks.

It can't be said often enough, be careful out there. I'm very worried about you and all our healthcare providers, you are on the front lines. Stay safe, I'm holding you and yours in my heart.

I am washing my hands religiously. So is my husband. We are retired and can avoid crowded spots. We have a disabled daughter who goes out into the community, though. If this coronavirus gets any closer this weekend, I am planning on keeping her home next week. She hates that! But my husband is in his 70s, and has heart issues. So I don’t want to take risks.

On a more serious note, thank you for everything that you do. Stay safe my friend, and God bless. When I worked in the height of the aids epidemic, it was all about proper handwashing. Also when Do you want to protect yourself, use the mask as well as Eye protection please🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is what a pandemic looks like. It has dire consequences. Look at these statistics. We would not get this current virus just from touching our faces and no, WE, in this country, would not get it from eating bat meat — this is a respiratory infection. Take every precaution possible. I have nursed epidemics in foreign countries— a bubonic Plague in Mexico in the 1970s. Death on a massive scale is a nightmare we do not want to face here. During WWI more soldiers died of the flu than by military violence. Influenza (Flu) Section Navigation1918 Pandemic Español 1918 Flu Pandemic Commemoration The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919. In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918. It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States. 1918 Pandemic Video Cdc-mediaLow Resolution Video Sorry for hijacking your thread JC

As a medical supplier I can tell you this isn’t the worst mask shortage we have been thru

I love what I do☺️ I just can’t wrap my head around the mask thing. Like, did the factories shut down?? It makes no sense to me. I get the demand is higher then the supply but they need to start making some more! I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing yesterday 😳 I stay wearing a mask and one of the CRNP does too. It won’t be long before I would imagine all health care staff would. Oh heck no bats 🦇 for me either 🤢 it’s just crazy!! I hear you najwa. You have to be so careful. Jasmine 😂🥰 I love my Disney Princess movies 🤗🤗♥️ The way I cook, you would think I would have come up more than 1% Turkish or Armenian 😂

That bahs— agreed. I made a fair amount of money in the stock market at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic by jumping in early and buying stock in companies that manufactured gloves, masks and other PPP.

I wish people took the flu just as seriously and were just as scared of that. 15 people died in NC of the flu last week.
