I think that I added some muscle during this short bulk. Now that I have begun to cut again, the mirror is showing the results. Also had a personal best during my late 30's. 275 pounds for 8 reps on the bench press. Haven't done that since approx. age 27.

I just added my measurements. It appears I added some muscle but also some fat going by my waist measurement. We'll see how they look at ~185 pounds again to see if any of it sticks. Any one of those numbers being higher will make the bulk worth it since at this stage, it is very difficult to add muscle.

You look incredible! Good job sticking with it. I think when you are fit and in shape you hear less from people because its expected that you look that way or maybe a little jealousy or maybe people don't realize that the maintaining is even harder than the getting there... Or so I have heard. I've never been to maintenance before so IDK if that's true. Anybody in maintenance wanna respond. ? LOL. I love you regardless of your physique but dang- this is the cherry on top. XO ❤😍

Shows consistency and commitment, amazing job! Davidsprincess, it may look tremendously complicated to sustain it's not that hard if you are really serious about it and make it a habit 60-30-10. Means proper nutrition in 60%, working out 30% and good hygiene overall 10%. It's a lifestyle, and you actually lose everything (resistance, muscles, aesthetics etc.) very quickly. Good news, if you ARE constistent and have to stop (2 months in my case, health issues), you get everything back quite quickly.

Fantastic numbers and physique! I can’t imagine how many hours you’ve put in to get to where you are. As princess said, after a while, people kind of forget all that you’ve done to get to where you are. For me, maintenance only lasted a year to two years b/c I’d get bored or started slacking, or my motivation ran dry. So you should be so proud b/c you persevere and the results are obvious. 👍🏻😊

I always think you look great. It is hard for me to notice the difference in short periods but I have followed you for years and you've made many changes. DP as for maintenance - I'm not in it now but I have been and yes, it's hard. I've always confessed it's harder than losing because there's it's just SSDD. And I've always admired the people who keep it within 5 pounds rather than letting it get to the massive 100lbs like me.

Thanks, everyone! Chris, the PR was during the beginning of the cut but also after a surplus day. I haven't been going heavy lately. I've been doing 185-250 on bench for high reps, decided to put 275 on the bar and got a PR. The belly is more of an O face at the moment, but it looks MUCH better than the last time I was 195 pounds so progress. Excited to see how it looks at 185 and then 180. :)
