Why don’t you just forget about and continue eating like Normal?

it happens and since you don't endulge all the time why feel so guilty. We all take a break on occasion.

Eating too much is not good, cake either. But you don’t eat like this every day, right? Just enjoy your day. Tomorrow eat something simple and refreshing, and drink water.
Have a good day!

Rosie is right— you can’t make up for today what happened yesterday. It’s just one incident, one day. Just move on as usual. There is no need for self flagellation.

1 slice of cake? I ate 2 slices of sweet potato pie. You'll be fine. Just lots of fruit and veggies tomorrow.

I feel your pain 502! I just ate a cold leftover piece of pizza, and it tasted good!! I need to get on my bike. 🍕🤨

Kh sounds like your saying you can workout the slip ups 🙊

Not that I think one slice of pizza is a slip, but one cannot out-workout a bad diet

One piece of cake shouldn't throw you. Just be sensible tomorrow. Happy bday to your daughter!

Hey relax, it’s just ONE piece. I’ve found that if I allow a treat some days then I don’t feel near as guilty. It also makes it easier to stick with my diet and say ‘no thanks’ to think I can live without because I know I’ll have a piece of cake at a party or a cup of hot chocolate or whatever ;). This didn’t ruin your diet. Enjoy the day without the guilt and just cut back a bit tomorrow instead of punishing yourself with water only. Unless tomorrow is a planned fast that fits with your diet ;).

I contacted the cake police and they recommend breaking down a 600 calorie piece of cake in your mind like this: it equals 20 calories each day for the month. The cake police also said it is normal activity at a birthday party to consume cake and they advise some folks even eat ice cream with the cake and they are fine. They have no reports of people falling off balconies or wagons when these incidence occur. Phew.......those police know their stuff. ;)

Not to worry. You can offset those calories by paying attention to your calorie and carb deficits the next few days. It is better to have a bit of cake and ice cream on occasion but not everyday. Life is to be enjoyed. Celebrations don't come that often for most people.

I know the feeling. I stay strong and don't indulge in sweets, which I love, but will have cake at bday parties. My bday is coming up the last of the month and I always indulge in a vanilla ice cream cone. I do it every year with bdays but I still beat myself up afterwards. Always think I should of stayed strong. I feel bad for giving in but I am trying to retrain my brain lol Trying to tell myself I need to just live and enjoy once in awhile

Rosie19 - I was joking about getting on my bike after eating one piece of pizza. It was only one piece. It was the first thing I had eaten and it was about noon. I’m quite under control with my diet. 600 to 900 calories a day.👍🏼 Thanks for your advice though.

Rosie 19 - the purpose of my original comment was to help ease Tgregory’s mind about eating a piece of cake. P.S. - I did get on my bike and ride it like Bigfoot was chasing me. 😊
