Haven't gotten back into my routine as of yet. Maybe I will make it to the gym this afternoon.

Hi Everyone,
Back from an absolutely wonderful vacation at an all inclusive (Excellence Resort Riviera Cancun). 30th anniversary and a very relaxing time. I ate and drank everything in sight. I did exercise 6 out of the 9 days and can't believe I'm up only 3 lbs. I'll take it because we consumed really rich foods three times a day plus a lot, a lot of beverages!

Weight Goal and Reflection Time!
It's been 2 and 1/2 months and 24 pounds less. I've met the weight goal I established for myself for this date! I've learned so much about my body--it's like I didn't know my insides, but now we are communicating. This is the most weight I have ever lost (not being pregnant) and also my highest starting point ever! Was this goal too low and did I do only just enough to reach this! Maybe...but that's O.K. the journey is not over. But I've achieved this without feeling deprived, stressed or hungry--major, major, points if you ask me. If I was hungry--I ate!
Other things I've learned!
1. 1200 calories a day are too few for me! Somewhere around 1400 is a great number for weight loss and sensible eating for me.
2. PMDD issues. I've had major, major PMDD issues for over 5 years. So bad that I sought help at NIH for 18 months. Still have major PMDD issues but they are more manageable with exercise.
3. 5 am is a glorious time of the day for exercise!
4. Exotic dance moves and pole exercises does wonders for the body, brain, and marriage.
5. IPOD's are wonderful motivators. Yes, you can do 1 hour on the elliptical if you're in IPOD world!
6. People that you don't know will notice that you're losing/loss weight and compliment you!
7. Weight loss isn't mystical but everyone has a different formula.
8. FIT TV is a channel now to watch and not just bypass on my way to HGTV. Also you can get up and actually do the exercises. I understand Gilad accent now!
9. You can go in a store--try on the clothes and then set a goal to purchase when you can fit in a certain size--it will be there!
10. I can give up wine/alcohol to meet my goal--I'm going to have to work a lot harder to apply that rule to CHOCOLATE!
11. JC is a good starting tool for me! However, I don't think I would be successful if I was 100% on the program. I need to incorporate real life foods throughout the process. JC is great for lunches and a lifesaver when everyone around you wants to get crazy for dinner.
12. I'm so much stronger than I was 2 months ago. Now I just got to kick in second gear to get to the finish line!
