It's a day off from work today! So this will be a shorter journal than on a usual Thursday. I lost 200 grams since yesterday, and all is good. Today, Wife is making Red Velvet Cake for Daughter. I'm gonna calculate all calories in it to know the damage it'll do, and allow myself a piece once I know what I am doing. EDIT: The cake is ready. I calculated everything on it and a small(ish) piece is a whopping 560 calories. Damn! I'm not even gonna touch it. So, since I'm suffering, knowing the cake is out there - I don't want to suffer alone. So here's a picture. :) You're welcome. :) (Sorry, I couldn't resist) Life is good!

Your DW is a whizz at the cakes, I hope you are going to practise the McKenna, 'savour and chew' advice when eating your measured piece of it :-)

Hey Keld, just starting to investigate this McKenna dude. Never even heard of him before your journals. (so I guess thanks to you and Skinny). On his website is a free download to a 'hypnosis' kind of mp3 for making yourself a better you in 7 days! Boy did I need this - it was like a gift!!! From the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU!!! And I have been trying the 'tapping' and it's working!!! Been out of the 'game' lately (so to speak) and let way too many foods back into my daily eating that are super high in carbs...and this has been helping me to control myself until I can get my system clean again from all the cravings!!! HUGE THANK YOU!!! Have a great day!

jsfantome - I'm glad you've had the same eye-opening experience as I. It's amazing how this works. I'm excited to hear that you can use it. :) Now go tell others! This is worth sharing.

SkInny - the cake ended up being 560 calories per 100 grams. 100 grams is a fairly small piece because of the way it's "built". Not even gonna touch it - I'll leave it for the girls to suffer through. It looks awesome though.

OMG Kingkeld..... That's as many calories as a "proper" roast dinner..... No wonder people put on weight - scary.... Can't you get your DW to investigate really healthy, low calorie cake making.... That you can enjoy too?

I've been doing amazingly well all the way since Friday. Yesterday, I was SO tempted to make a conscious slip-up, but I used the tapping to avoid it. Nice to have such control. We should be taught this in school. Seriously.

SkInny - LOL! This cake was actually made specifically for Daughter, as she wanted to try a red velvet cake. I was hoping for a piece, but it's really no biggie that I won't have any. I'm perfectly okay with it. I was SHOCKED to learn that the entire cake - which is really not THAT big - is a whopping 7900 calories. That's what I've consumed on the ENTIRE LAST WEEK!

For those of you curious about the free download that jsfantome is talking about, go to www.paulmckenna.com, and at the upper right corner is a link to a free trance sample. You have to sign up for free to get it, but it's worth it. :)
