In one way I'm looking forward to hitting maintenance - in another it worries me - which is why I've reduced my target down to 65 kilos. I might not go that low, for me it's all about belly fat and in getting rid of that I don't want to end up looking drawn and ill.

My weight - before eating rubbish all day - on Wednesday was 72.5 kilos - a healthy weight according to the NHS. I've never in my childhood or adulthood come anywhere near a healthy weight, which is why maintenance worries me. I knew that it wouldn't be worth weighing in either yesterday or today as I'd have put on at least 2 kilos, but hopefully it'll be back in the 73 kilo's tomorrow.

Good luck Mini! 🙋🏻I have the same problem you do breaking with sweet carbs and my sweet tooth. 🙇🏻‍♀️Sometimes I think I have it kicked, then something like this surgery happens where they want me to eat carbs and I'm right back on the sweet carbs and fighting to stay away from them. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hello, my friend. Please don't worry; you'll do great! Phil's been on maintenance for a year so you might want to speak to him for guidelines. In one of his posts he said he was doing strict keto 4 days a week and then slacking a bit for the other days. And I just notices April's post so you're all set! :-)

Hi minitata- I'm curious if after a few months on a ketogenic diet if you will notice some improvements in several areas of your health. One lovely surprise for me was a tremendous reduction in anxiety. I hope you experience an improvement as well! Keep us updated on how you are feeling. This is such a fantastic community! ❤️🌺🌸

One more thing- I cannot live without chocolate- if you can find it, try this for your sweet tooth: no sugar, tastes creamy and delicious & it's all natural and healthy: Lily's creamy milk chocolate bars with stevia. Half of a huge bar is only 3 carbs. 😊 I just ordered a case from my local market!

I was interested in the chocolate sweetened with stevia. We can't buy Lily's in the UK but there are other makes. Unfortunately, they all seem to contain inulin which I can't eat because it gives me stomach cramps.

Doobrie- yes even Lily's has the inulin from chicory root. Its a prebiotic fiber that is supposed to be very good for you but stomach cramps do not sound good! Well, I have mixed up little truffle balls mixing cocoa powder, vanilla, stevia, erythritol and mascarpone and kept them in the fridge. Not portable like chocolate but still nice. I've been to the UK and I bet you could find some really top notch cocoa powder from France! The other option is to just buy extremely dark chocolate that is already naturally low in carbohydrates. The serving would be smaller than eating something like Lily's but there would be not offending ingredients. Good luck in your journey!

Thank you Bluecoaster - some good ideas there. I have some lovely organic cocoa powder, Green & Blacks, that I use for flavouring. The little truffle balls sound delicious 🙂
