Ummmmm _KC...... are you writing my story? (Although I DID NOT splurge on a $20 app for fasting - I DID splurge on a $20 app for scanning documents (stupid, I know, but it needed it)
Anyway, here's to getting back to "pre December" weight! 💯

Maybe you'll revisit this post again this November? My tip & trick for not gaining weight during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season is to not bake. For any event I'm invited to, I buy flowers or wine/booze as the gift to bring. I take nothing home with me, and my home remains a safe zone without garbage carbs to tempt me. The added benefit is that your host will also not gain weight from the flowers you gift them.

High carb diets are the only ones that will provide long term weight maintenance. Your body will ultimately rebel against high protein and higher fat intake. I’m a dietician FYI 😉

@3dkids2 - This reminds me of when I bought my brand new car for like 25K and couldn't justify spending $78.00 on new floor mats because $78.00 was just way too much to spend on a car accessory. Just think of all the money you are saving not having to purchase a scanner or having to drive somewhere to scan things. (And I am grateful I bought the floor mats because they keep my new car looking new and that makes me happy) #Pricless. Oh, and the $20.00 app also tells me to drink water... lol

@JustBananas - Brilliant IDEA!!!! I'm going to do that this year. I did bring a 60/40 mashed potato/califlower blend to Thanksgiving last year and everyone loved it. I wish I could be garbage carbs free in my home but my husband sneaks them in and even though I told him to hide them, he doesn't do a very good job sometimes... so I must be strong in the face of temptation!!

@HerpDeeDerp - hahahahaha *picks up oar and is grateful there is an oar to pick up because I would hate to be up sh!ts creek without a paddle*

Oh @Diana 1234 - stalled is a much better place than gaining - remember that always. Next December remember. Only the first cookie of the month tastes out of this world delicious - the other 185 never taste as good. (Yeah I did the math - and I am also writing this more for my reminder than yours)

@ramblemanje - Oh I am not a fan of the girlscouts thin mints so I will save them all for you to binge on. Just keep the coconut chocolate ones away from me because they are my favorite.

@TMT2923 - I hope you are not the Dieticians I have been working with over the last 15 years because I lie to them all the time about what I eat in fear they will see I have been harboring an eating disorder since my teenage years because you sound just like them 😉 I'm working with my therapist on my 'All-or-Nothing' unhelpful thinking patterns my doctor suggested at my last office visit when she told me to eat low carb (not no carb) because of my pre-diabetes and my class 1 obesity. I am either eating all the foods or none of them.
