Went to Body Pump last night. This was my second class. Not as sore today as I was after the first one. I think it is going to take a while to get used to all the moves, but I think I am getting better.
The only downside to the Body Pump class is the time. I usually hit the gym by 3:15. Body Pump starts at 4:30. That's a lot of time to fill. I do loosen up on the treadmill or ellipital, but I don't want to expend all my energy with doing that, then not have enough oomph for the the class.
Going to go back to basics next week. I want to get my weight down to the 150 mark. I am firmly stuck at 153, but honestly, I really haven't been trying to do any better. You reap what you sow.
Hormones are in flux this week. Another reason for the bloat and weight gain. Could be worse though, I only get the misery...

You go Mamma! Rock that body pump class! Those are difficult - maybe you could do some stretches in addition before the class? It could help loosen you up and kill some more time. You are a gym rat!! I normally get to the gym at 5 and am out by 6:30!! Keep it up girl, you'll get to 150 soon!!!!

If that body pump is anything like muscle pump, NICE JOB!! I think they are actually both similar, the YMCA I work out switched the name for copyright reasons... That is an intense muscle burn, nice work mamma!

That Les Mills is making a fortune! The gym I am at does all the classes offered. Next class the instructor said for me to start increasing weights. I feel good today (okay shoulders are a little sore), so I will add a heavy and a light weight to the bar next time instead of just the one. Strange that I don't see many guys that do this class. I have only seen one.
