Solution: Don't eat WHILE you are watching the news. Problem solved.

You're not alone, Shirfleur.
I've been limiting my news intake to 15 minutes in the morning and 15 more between 5-6:00pm. Absolutely none after 6pm (unless it's weather alert related). I have found I'm praying more instead.
I have a hard enough time battling insomnia without MSM trying to keep me agitated.

If only it were that simple Debbie. I have four grandsons and a granddaughter that are of military age. My youngest grandson is joining the Marines in May, something he's been working towards for years. Turning the news off does not ease my mind. Knowing that the whole world is watching the deliberate slaughter of innocent people is not something I can turn off, even when I turn off the news.

I watch zero news. Hang in there Shir. It’s trying times. The Bible speaks of much that is happening prophetically. Praying for you and yours. ❤️🙏

Remember to take a deep breath before you take a bite. It helps me when I'm stress eating. Hope your St. Patty's day is green ☘️

It is so difficult.... So much horror and suffering in the world. As you know, my youngest still has his Russian citizenship. At 19, if he was still there, it is very likely we would be serving his mandatory military service right now... I'm so glad he isn't... He is doing a lot of thinking these days. Hugs to you, Shir! ❤️ Love you!

The are very troubling and stressful times. I'm holding to his hand as best I can. My trust is in HIM...

Shirfleur1– Like it or not we seem to be in the early days of WWiiii. Somehow I always thought we might get through a generation without a world war but that does not seem to be the case. Between world war and yet another significant Covid variation surfacing (DeltaCron) we are in for a rough ride and need to stay informed, but not drown ourselves in the horrors of it all.

More than ever, it's important to get rest, eat food that gives you energy all day, turn off the news sometimes (that does not mean ignoring the news, it's normal to be aware of and concerned about what's going on) and move a bit. Maybe try a few simple actions to get you out of the news/food slump that I know well.

I read a horrific story about a cat in Ukraine who got burned severely and survived but in a terrible state for 4 days before getting treatment and fluids/nutrition. I know he is not the only one and that many people are also suffering and enduring horrors. They are all on my mind. I don't think the solution is to turn a blind eye (what happens in Ukraine WILL affect you even if you feel nothing emotionally) but I think we need to put limits on the dose every day. I can't read any more about burned cats or people crammed into shelters with no food and water today.

I agree we need to be informed and then shut the TV and continue to eat healthy, take care of our families, our homes and appreciate them even more. I'm very scared of the real possibilities of what is going on and I do feel it's the start of WWWIII. Putin is exactly like Hitler. No difference. Hopefully, good will take over soon.

Don’t watch the depressing news Shirfleur, 💕 you can’t change it anyway, it will only get you down.
Watch a fabulous movie! 🍿

I am with John, for the Lord has NOT deserted us. I do not only think of the destroyed families, and the struggle of people without water, yet having to leave their beloved pets behind. The horrors going on can destroy you if you think about it too long. Have faith and don’t dwell on it. Remember, there’s a lot of good in the world and a lot of good loving Russians struggling too. There will always be wars, it’s just a sad fact, you can’t personally fix it. Just be good to yourself and take your mind off of it for now.❤️🌸
