Oh wow, on my phone I thought the pizza was in front of the little kid. Maybe I need glasses? Gorgeous pizza though.

NY has a “huuuge” and also sometimes weird variety of pizza toppings. It was just national pizza day and I learned they were first called tomato pies! Then pizza. One of my all time favorites is a Sicilian slice from “L&B spumoni gardens” in Brooklyn. They do it inside out, dough, then cheese and finally the pizza sauce on top. It’s my favorite. If you are ever in Brooklyn you have to try it.

Kenny, L&B is my fav for that kind of slice... I didn’t realize those were called tomato pies. I thought tomato pies were literally pies with sliced tomatoes 🍅 lol😂😂😂 Can we get that next time?

Kenny, that's how "Detroit style" pizza is made, too - the cheese goes directly on the crust, then sauce, and then toppings. The cheese is Wisconsin Brick or Monterey Jack. It's baked in a rectangular pan that has sides, which gives the crust its amazing crispy crunchy texture.
