Photo of me a couple of years ago where I am picking out the most 'healthy' yoghurt in the shop. From a time I didn't know better.

Omg💪👍 it’s like quitting anything addictive. You try, you try, you give in, you try, you think you got it... nope, you try and realize how many calories are in our food, how awful you feel and defeated because you tried before but for me this time, it’s, damn that’s how many calories are in this? It’s been joining this group on FS, understanding that life can hit you and you’re never ready after losing weight, illnesses that require steroids. 9 months in after life has given me it’s fair share of surprises and weight gain and loss, I got this. I got it enough, almost a year into this and sensible to know to stay here and log everything. This is where it clicked for me. The brain/ body connection is everything 🙌

It was hard for me to accept that plain yogurt has a lot of natural sugars and carbs. I used to live on that stuff with fruit and granola.

I enjoy eating Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. Doesn't create any problems for me. Guess I'm just lucky.

And Greek yogurt is good for you🤗 but until you’re really ready and understand food and it’s calories and nutritional value and moderation, and eating because you’re hungry instead of boredom or emotionally eating....... it’s hard. I relate to this so much. I see myself in this picture and I see myself now and where you are and I’m thankful.

chobani for me. Tonight I added it to my beef stroganoff instead of sour cream. Worked great. I like the texture and flavor both.

I eat yogurt blueberries and granola everyday after I swim. Portion control is very helpful.

@Kenna, I have that exact same combo a couple times a week after walking. If you're interested, I use Lemon Blueberry granola by Cascadian farms. It's the best granola I've ever had and it goes very well with the blueberries & plain greek yogurt https://www.amazon.com/Cascadian-Farm-Lemon-Blueberry-Granola/dp/B076HRXHXV

Chobani non-fat strawberry Greek yogurt is so good. The vanilla has fewer calories so I bought some of that for tonight so I can fit my ice cream in.

Yogurt/sour cream/cream cheese all substitute very well for each other, or any kind of cream soup. I like to use crema fresca, but it's not as easy to get everywhere as it is here.

Right Phil.tx — I really prefer crema and use it instead of traditional sour cream in almost all applications. People always ask about that background flavor.

Easy to make crema. Checkout some recipes. It's also cheaper when you make it yourself. Same for creme fraiche.

Never thought about making it. Thanks for the tip!
