I hope it’s nothing to serious. Glad you’re taking care of you.

I can almost guarantee you that the doctor's legs are probably just as hairy as yours (if not moreso!) I'm definitely team no-shave when the temps are lower than forty degrees. You're going about this the right way to achieve your 5k goal, too. There's no good way to legitimately run a 5k with any sort of leg pain. Good luck!

OMG...laughing...I am so right there with you on the leg shaving thing. I had a doctor's appointment scheduled a couple of months ago and the night before I was in the bathroom shaving the legs. Then over the course of the next few days the stubble came back...you should have heard all the grumbling from my husband about the scratchy legs. Once it got back to soft hair he didn't say anything else. But, guess what...I have another doctor's appointment next Monday...time to shave again... Some people say "oooo gross..." But, danag it. It's cold and I'm old...My mom used to advise us girls to always shave our legs and wear clean underwear in case you get in an accident and have to go to the hospital you won't be embarrassed...I got the underwear part...but, the shaving is just too much some days. Love your post!

Sounds like Plantar Fasciitis. I have it off and on and it sucks. Takes a long time to go away. Supportive shoes, sometimes with insoles, helped me - as did losing weight. My heel would hurt the most after sitting, like you mentioned, and then sometimes would feel just fine during exercise.

Yep, seconding crazy8cottage's diagnosis. I got it when i tried to go running a few years ago. Hurts like hell. Like she said, insoles and weight loss helped. Also just a lot of time. I also rolled my feet on a tennis ball. Also, not a doc, but they always say they've seen it all in terms of, ahem, bodyscaping, and i choose to believe them!

One day I got sick and I was embarrassed to go to the hospital with hairy legs. since that day I shave my body every single day , sometimes I go one day without shaving .

Oh I so hope it's not the Plantar Fasciitis! I love that you've set that 5K goal for yourself, I think you're doing great at the taking care of you. As for the sugar cookie, well, I won't go there because I would have had more than one, crumbs or not.

Your doctor may be more caring than any I've met of late - most just have me point to the area with the issue... I could have legs like Big Foot and they'd likely not notice if it wasn't detailed in the lab report. You'll be fine. Feel better.

I got insoles for Plantar Fasciitis from the same doctor I went to for Plantar Warts. Miraculous relief! Not cheap though.

My two main goals are to be under 200 and be able to finish a 5K (walk/run 3 miles, without needing an ambulance.) We can do it! Take care of those feet--it sounds like plantars fascitis to me, too. Ouch!

I feel for you. I’ve never worried about going to the doctor with hairy legs, but I injured my back running on Monday. There will be no 5ks for a while.
I didn’t know cow liked Cheetos. I did know they like skittles however.

If it is your heel, probably not planter fasciitis. If you have been walking/ running without stretching your Achilles’ tendon you may have developed a bit of tendonotis. Warm soaks with Epsom salts if you have them. Gently stretch the foot. Never try to do jogging/running or even distance walking without stretching first. You saw the doctor today? What did he say.

The main symptom of plantar fasciitis is stabbing heel pain that is worst upon standing. I hope it’s not what you have bc it can be debilitating.
