I brushed frozen tilapia with a butter/bacon&onion brownings whip, lots of tarragon for that smoky flavor. Holy farmed fish, Batman!! So very tasty. Boy ate all his

FYI Tilapia is not the best to eat, there are some cleaner choices out there for you. Google it!

Yeah, Andrea, I’m aware of issues surrounding aquaculture, yet I choose to keep tilapia as the freezer fish. Always there. Salmon and herring are my wanna eats and I’m interested in fishing for small mackerels from smb pier. Soon, he says.

I take two thawed tilapia fillets and season them with salt and pepper then dip them in flour, not a batter, and pan fry them in a little oil til browned then set them aside. In the same skillet I add 1 C chicken broth(I make my own with left over rotisserie bones and freeze it in one cup styrophone containers) and add garlic powder, lemon juice, bottled or fresh of 2 lemons, butter and, 1/4 C white wine and salt and pepper to taste and let it cook to thicken it somewhat for 5 to 10 minutes. No added flour. To plate it I put a bed of fresh spinach in bout half the plate add a 4 oz portion of tilapia and pour the garlic lemon butter wine sauce over it. Oh my gosh. Tilapia has gotten a lot of bad press. Just have to be packaged by a reputable company in the US or Canada
