Kenna Morton's Journal, 31 July 2018

So today was pizza day. I use a 6 inch pita, make my own pizza sauce and freeze it in 1/4 cup silicone ice cube trays. Once frozen, they go into a baggy and I am ready to go. I have made these for so many people— a pizza bar and everyone can choose their own toppings. Will post the Info after it bakes. 15 minutes and I’m ready to eat.

That looks fantastic! Thanks for the tip re: freezing individual sauce servings... Last Friday I made a pizza sauce recipe from MinimalistBaker.com for 2 portobella pizzas, and I hadn't figured out how to salvage the leftover sauce... 🤔 Bingo! 👍

1/4 cup is perfect for one of these 6 inch pizzas. You can easily make one for yourself or pull out 4 if people show up. The pita I use is a brand called Toufayan. They make all kinds. I buy it at Sprouts. I have never tried another brand. I’ll take a picture and put it up on my journal.

Great, thanks! I have purchased Toufayan brand pita before... I think I got it thru Netrition.com, where they have tons of low-carb breads, bagels, etc..

Doing these small “lifestyle changes like 6” pizza, small sized banana bread, 6 inch cake pans and six inch pie pans and 4 and 6 inch brownie pans allows you to eat real food treats without dealing with leftovers that come back to haunt you. Be proactive— I have helped people successfully learn to do this for a lifetime without deprivation and without CHEATING. These small things are part of the way you eat once in a while— not every day- no second helpings. What I am writing is about weight contro. Medical issues and/or emotional issues related to eating is another chapter. Good luck everyone.

It is delis nous— my boyfriend never eats pizza out anymore because he prefers the ones we make. He may do ham/pineapple or pepperoni, but this is my go to.
