Awww. That's hard, if not impossible to lose. I'm sorry. My c-section scars go horizontally but the nerves never healed and so they don't stimulate my muscles. I have major overlap that will not resolve. The rest of you looks great, so keep on keepin' on!

See your c scars as the prove of your love for your kids. You did great just keep the weight off.

Try not to focus your energy on the c-section scar - just do your best to build muscle all over your body (arms, leg, glutes, back) because it may increase metabolism and reduce overall bodyfat which, in the end, can impact the abs with some fat loss while you are firming the area. It is hard to "spot" lose

I got one of those too! Mine came from a bowel resection though. Wife has a similar csection from 2 kids. Scars just are a testament to how tough you are!!! Looking great though!!!

Hello Keilin, I have many things to say so please read thoroughly as I am not being negative or judgemental...so please don't think this, I am just trying to explain the situation which you have so graciously shared with us all. Which in my book is a very positive and empowering thing you've done which did take much courage on your behalf. We should all take a lesson from you. For that I truly thank you. ___SocalPam is correct in stating most c sections nowadays are performed horizontally just above the belt line of the waist...the reason is to not severe the walls of your abdominal muscles and the arterial lining of abdomen, or even the vaginal area, thereby lessening the scarring. Now having said this, your abdominal muscles appeared to perhaps have been severed by whomever performed the surgery. This is known as a traditional C -section and not widely used or recommended nowadays. Why it was performed like this we do not know, perhaps the doctors decision or prior training and experience. However, you can continue to lose weight and tighten the abs to a certain extent to bring more definition but it will be difficult due to the manner in which the area was surgically worked upon. I don't want you to get discouraged, just know it will take a bit more effort in order to do so. The abs are the last to lose fat cells on any body, but you may not have as much fatty tissue as you may think you do, as it may be a build up of subcutaneous, internal scar tissue due to the nature of the surgery in that area of your body. Currently, the best bet is to focus upon slight weight loss (healthy manner), while paying most attention to your overall fitness and body tone. By continuing to perform fitness and a healthy eating regime, it will enable you to achieve a bit more tone in this area as it will undoubtedly try to follow the rest of your body in defining shape. You may have to become super diligent on working the abs while being careful, in the best method you can for an extended period of time (not talking minute or hours, I'm talking weeks, months, etc). The outer scar tissue will fade with time, the inner scar tissue built up dependent upon how much has occurred may or may not decrease... this is a reality. I am inserting this information from a medical review board to explain different C sections for your information. Here is the following: 1) Your situation defined -----> Traditional Cesarean section The classic Cesarean section (C-section) involves a long, vertical incision being made in the midline of the abdomen. Once the skin is incised, the uterus is also incised vertically, and the baby is delivered. Due to the size of the incision, this type of C-section allows a large amount of space for delivering the baby. However, the procedure is associated with post-surgical complications and is not commonly used today. The long incision weakens the abdominal muscles and increases the risk of hernia for years after surgery. Furthermore, once this type of C-section is performed, a vaginal birth is potentially not safe for the delivery of future pregnancies. 2) Frequently Used Nowadays ----> The lower uterine segment Cesarean section (LUCS) For this type of C-section, an incision is made just above the pubic hairline just above the bladder. This is a horizontal incision that cuts through the underlying uterus as well as the skin. The baby is delivered by inserting a hand into the uterus and pulling the baby out. This is one of the most common methods of C-section delivery used today. After the surgery, the risk of bleeding and other complications such as hernia are minimal and the surgical wound repairs more easily than the wound that is left after a traditional C-section. Furthermore, a woman may still choose a vaginal delivery for any future births. A C-section that is performed due to complications such as non-progress of labour or severe pre-eclampsia, is an emergency C-section which is usually performed as a LUSCS procedure. 3) Alternative Option ----> Caesarean hysterectomy A Cesarean hysterectomy involves removing the uterus during the same procedure as the C-section delivery. This may be needed in cases of severe post-delivery bleeding from the placenta or when the placenta cannot be separated from the uterus walls. As Reviewed by Sally Robertson, BSc (2014) https://www.news-medical.net/health/Cesarean-Section-Types.aspx ****** Its me again now speaking, In closing, I would like to say thank you for sharing, I am not judging you in any way, as I still believe you are an extremely beautiful, and attractive young woman. No amount of scarring would change this thought of you.....You continue being proud of yourself, your achievements, your motherhood (most important), and keep smiling ........ YOUR GORGEOUS !!!! It is my sincere hope we can continue to follow your health and lifestyle as you see fit.... Know that you are loved by all of us here on FS and we wish you all the best life can offer.. :D

Thanks Wright2028 I know you are right, I do not know why my first doctor did my C-section that way, I went to the hospital with my pregnancy from premature twins and I woke up with this, I searched a lot about my skin with stretch marks and C-section and I am aware that having a flat stomach for me will not be easy, maybe impossible, my stretch marks now do not look ugly, they were dark before, I can not see links here but I really appreciate your help, 💛🧡 I am going to try to improve anyway, as I said before, I am going to die trying 😀

Sorry Keilin, I've tried a few times to get you that link, but every time I post it, for some reason it truncates and cuts off the last part....I've tried manually typing it as well, it still does not want to go on... perhaps if you look in my previous post, you may see the beginning portion of the link and then type health/Cesarean-Sections-types after it .... it may take you there.... I'm certainly here if you ever need to talk or have someone lend an ear.... ;D
