Everyone that writes their struggles, THANK YOU! I have been on Fatsecret for over 5 years, and still love reading. Many of us have struggles with heavy breathing, not going places because we were afraid we would not fit in a chair or they might have flimsy chairs, not being able to stand for long period, not buying the clothes we really wanted, not flying because we had to ask for extender (I would have bought one not to ask for one---but was always afraid to fly and not fit well in seat). There is no shame in posting anything you feel on here. If anyone is having struggle posting feel free to private message me any time. Those stories are what motivates many. Reading a post today, motivated me to have protein smoothie today, so yes it may motivate someone else. Have a great!!!

@Thunderina baby steps, make small goals. Easier to hit 5-10lbs at a time rather than say 100 lbs.

@Highland Heather Your journey will be successful. Even thru rough times, keep tracking. I had days when I ate a whole (fill in the blanks--pint of ice cream, cookies) whatever, but tracked it. When you see how bad that day was, don't beat yourself and get back on track. There are many buddies on here that will support you. YOU CAN DO IT! Look, I am not at goal but will always "have a goal". I like to do small 5 lbs or so at a time, it seems more attainable.

Thanks to for the positive comments. I just feel better, and my knees (even though I need two replacements---weight and job hazard of walking on gravel, concrete, slammed by dogs) thank me too. I hated always wanting to sit because my poor knees couldn't deal. By no means am I perfect all the time, but try and do well for most meals with a few splurges. I know many say my carbs are too high, I will forever do juicing--as I LOVE how those vitamins make me feel. A juice a day is not a cupcake a day. :)

Wonderful! You look so much healthier and happier! Congratulations. I was one of those who didn’t want to leave home out of fear, how far of a walk will it be before I can sit? Will there be a chair, sturdy bench etc? I was crippled in more ways than just physically. Kudos to you for taking back your life!
