Baked Chicken with Mushrooms & Peppers
Super tasty and healthy chicken breast with sliced mushrooms and red or green peppers.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- Place the chicken breasts in a 9×13" baking dish.
- Sprinkle the chicken with the onion flakes.
- In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, and garlic powder; pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and bake for about 30 minutes.
- Spread the mushrooms and red or green peppers evenly over the chicken and continue to bake, covered, for about 20 more minutes (or until the mushrooms are tender).

This is just soooo simple and soooo yummy! I did use lite soy sauce and added chopped onions and a little red pepper flakes for a kick! The honey is what makes this dish! You think it will be too salty but it turns out sweet and spicy! This simple, yummy and QUICK meal will be in my "keep pile". I served it with boiled potatoes and fresh corn.

This was very tasty and so easy to make. I made extra sauce and used slice onions. I also did strips of red pepper since my daughter doesn't like them and it made it easier to remove them. I will definitely make this again.

Tnis is not Atkins, induction friendy, added up the carbs and approx 67 for the whole receipe.Even if you made it into 4 servings still to high for induction,

VERY GOOD! 2-yr old approved! I used agave nectar as I didn't have honey on hand and it worked great. Also made mashed potatoes as a side and topped them w/ the 'sauce' instead of butter. Also- the chicken looked fine- it didn't blacken with the soy sauce...

Very good! A little saltier than what I prefer but definitely worth trying. I will make again.
