I only checked the scale once this week, and it has not moved at all. But I think I have figured out what the problem is. because I have been eating the best I have in weeks, and I've been working out 5 days a week, but tht damn scale isn't moving. But I've been doing something that my brother did, (he just lost 40 lbs from January-april) and that is, having a cheat day on this weekends. He said he got the tip out of a book from the EA sports nutrition guy. So, one day a week he lets himself eat whatever he wants on that one day. What the EA sports nutirtion guy says in his book is that it keeps your metabolism up and keeps you from plateauing. So, I've been doing that, but the scale hasn't been moving. SO, That's going. I am a girl, and my brother is a guy... and we don';t lose weight the same way. soooo... Buh-bye cheat day. Now if that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to do... because I should have lost SOMETHING the last 3 weeks... I have been BUSTING MY ASS!!!
Maybe I am not eating enough calories? Am I just gaining that much muscle from the weights I've been lifting that it isn't reflecting on the scale??
I THINK I might have lost and inch or two at some point since beginning of June, cause i had my ribcage measured for a bra then and it was 40" and yesterday it was 38" but tht's the only measurement I've taken soo... I don't know. I'm just lost and need some motivation and advice!

Today I photoshopped my face onto the body of Jenny McCarthy in a swimsuit. And then I printed it and taped a copy to my fridge and a copy to my mirror in the bathroom. That way every morning I will wake up and say, "Damn, gurrrl, you lookin fine!" I also taped my goal weight over my scale. So now when I step on it, it reads 120. And even though I know it's fake, its pretty cool to look down and see those numbers.
Can anyone tell I'm employing the law of attraction to help me out? Hah, can't hurt!

My digital scale has not budged in the last two weeks. I mean don't get me wrong, I've seen some different numbers... anything from 206 - 211 !! But it just bounces all over. I know there is water weight and all of those factors to take in.... and I'm probably gaining muscle, etc.... it just seems like that 5 lb range should be shifting itself downward... I don't think I am being unreasonable... Well, anyway. To hell with my scale for the moment. I seriously think it is JACKED! I bought an analog one and it says I way 260. HAH! Or, if I step on it again, it says 320! Ummm, good thing I only spent 8$ on that one.
BUT according to the analog one at Snap... I weighed myself the monday before last (with my clothes on and with food and stuff in my stomach- different from my first thing in the morning weigh-ins) and it said 215-216 (not sure cause the numbers are so small, it's analog) and now this week it is saying 212 I think... SOOOO THAT's good, I just wish I had a consistent system! Think I will just weigh myself at Snap until I can get a new scale. For now, I taped my goal weight onto my scale so that I can get up every morning and step on the scale and see my goal weight! Law of Attraction there!
Today though, I went and busted my ass lifting at the gym. I have switched to higher weight, lower reps, due to concurring opinions of some people who probably know what they are talking about. So far, I LOVe the feel of doing the higher weight. I benched 110 and 115 today! woot!
And, I traded in my leisure bike that I bought in May (Target actually let me return it, Miracle!) and now I have a cross between a hybrid and a road bike, its a Trek. I freaking LOVE it! It weighs about a million pounds less than my leisure bike, I don't feel like I am going to have a hernia riding up a small slope.
Otherwise, all is well, I am still here, I am on the fast track and things are looking up. good luck to you all and God Bless!

I just got done lifting and I feel like a million bucks!! I took some advice from a volleyball coach that works part time where I work part time and started doing higher weight with lower reps. So then i can really feel the burn. Compared to what i feel now, I don't think I was working hard enough before. But I am worried, some people say lower reps, higher weight, some say higher weight lower reps... WELL I'm going to try the lower reps, higher weight for the month and see how that goes, I really liked the way it felt! but if anyone has some insight, I'd love to hear it. I guess someone was saying if i do lower weight and more reps for 1 of my 3 lifting sessions a week, that's good. but I just don't know!

Finally the scale is moving in the right direction again! Wooot! My goal is to be under 200 by the end of July... I know that's a big goal, but I CAN DO it!
