I only checked the scale once this week, and it has not moved at all. But I think I have figured out what the problem is. because I have been eating the best I have in weeks, and I've been working out 5 days a week, but tht damn scale isn't moving. But I've been doing something that my brother did, (he just lost 40 lbs from January-april) and that is, having a cheat day on this weekends. He said he got the tip out of a book from the EA sports nutrition guy. So, one day a week he lets himself eat whatever he wants on that one day. What the EA sports nutirtion guy says in his book is that it keeps your metabolism up and keeps you from plateauing. So, I've been doing that, but the scale hasn't been moving. SO, That's going. I am a girl, and my brother is a guy... and we don';t lose weight the same way. soooo... Buh-bye cheat day. Now if that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to do... because I should have lost SOMETHING the last 3 weeks... I have been BUSTING MY ASS!!!

Maybe I am not eating enough calories? Am I just gaining that much muscle from the weights I've been lifting that it isn't reflecting on the scale??

I THINK I might have lost and inch or two at some point since beginning of June, cause i had my ribcage measured for a bra then and it was 40" and yesterday it was 38" but tht's the only measurement I've taken soo... I don't know. I'm just lost and need some motivation and advice!

Are you in pain for two days after lifting weights? Then maybe you are getting stronger - but even Arnold Schwarzenegger only gained 5 pounds a year in his BEST bodybuilder years! Looking at your diet calendar, it looks like you are eating enough - but if you aren't listing everything, then maybe you are eating too much, like you said with the cheating. Your daily average is 1450 - try getting down to 1200 a day and see what happens. Good luck!

Yah, I haven't been listing the cheat days, cause i didn't want to screw up my average! I think I will try to get back down to 1200...

And yes, I am often sore for two days after! and I am able to lift more weight than I did 3 weeks ago....

I take my measurements every week when I weigh in because that way I can monitor what the scale may not pick up. When you work out regularly you are building muscle and the muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes your body will show inches lost but not necessarily pounds. Maybe try taking your measurements weekly too? Three weeks without a loss would be really frustrating though! It's great that you are getting stronger and able to lift more - that means you are DEFINITELY building muscle! :) I agree with abba - try hanging around 1200/day this week and see if you see results when you weigh in. Good luck!

And you'll have great "tone" once the weight goes down if you keep up the lifting!
