STAYING MOTIVATED... HARD TO DO?
Just found a great one: "Visualize--you can't hit a target you can't see." (Modified quote from the book "Maximum Achievement..." by Brian Tracy--thanks Andre!)

STAYING MOTIVATED... HARD TO DO?
All good suggestions, thank you! I agree with Andre--that's why these days I find myself talking a lot to, well, myself! Since no one but me can get through ME to achieve this change, who better to talk to? I guess I'm reaching within myself for inspiration. Or you can call it "mantras" or "mottos", it's all okay, and it all works. Today I debated whether I should go out and take my 2-mile walk at lunch time. So, I told myself "shut up and just do it" Guess what, I ended up enjoying myself, ate my Subway turkey sandwich at a bench park, and had a blast by myself! And best part, by my calculations, I "strayed" about 1.5 from my office, which means I walked 3 miles today. A month ago, I wasn't moving away from my office, even to eat lunch. At my age, I have just learned that the most powerful inspiration comes from within--and I'm excited about that. Heck, I've even had t-shirts printed with my own motivational quotes--my favorite one says "Team V--this time is all about ME!" Love it--and just wearing it makes me want to go out and show it off! Hey, maybe you guys can help me figure out what to print on my next "weight loss motivational t-shirt" any suggestions?

STAYING MOTIVATED... HARD TO DO?
Repeating things to myself like "exercise is not negotiable" and "visualize to realize" "yes, I can", works to keep me motivated, even on those days when I just don't want to move. What's your strategy?
