I have always jumped up and down with my weight. I have never been able to maintain a steady weight. I guess it depends on what life throws out to me.

Battling depression
Hi...I read your entry, and I too have depression. My weight has jumped up and down ever since I could remember. I never maintained any stable weight. Perhaps life's events moved too fast for me and I adjusted to what ever was thrown at me. Now today, I am older, on my own, alone. And after it was all said and done, I found I gained about 15 extra pounds in a year. Yes, slowing me down. I realize I have to take care of me, because nobody else will do it but me. Yesterday I took a 4 mile walk, forcing myself to do that good deed for me. I weighed in this morning, lost a pound. Do I feel better? No. Guilt and regret comes into play with me. And believe me I am not doing this weight loss to fit in a size 5 or look great. No, I got to do it to get around quicker for me.

I can't seem to get motivated ....
I cannot seem to get motivated when I know I have to loose this weight. Part of this struggle is getting motivated to go out there and walk. I watch what I eat, but mentally, it's almost like I'm slowed down. So, despite the Smart Ones, that helps me, I still weigh the same. Why? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.Neutral
