During our yoga workout today, my daughter so kindly reminded me of my "big belly". I celebrated 30 pounds lost this morning...this afternoon, I work knowing I still have a lot "gardening" to do. :D

I'm reading "Made to Crave" by Lysa Terkeurst, and in this particular chapter she compares wanting a beautiful garden to wanting a thinner body. What a great revelation. I may wish my back yard to be green with beautiful flowers around our koi pond, but unless I plant the seeds, and tend to it; unless I invest the time and attention and love it requires I will only end up with the dirt filled lawn I currently view out my back door (although our two Great Danes do not help the situation). The same goes for our bodies. I may wish for a thinner body, but unless I plant the right seeds (eat the right foods) and tend to my body (exercise), I will end up with nothing but "weeds" or extra fluff if I may. Time is a pretty big element here too. My back yard will still look like a dog racing yard for a few more months, but with the right treatments it will be green and beautiful. Same thing with my body. I need the right combination of nourishment, love and exercise, and by summer...hopefully a beautiful, confident woman will emerge.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

I found out my dad, who is in his mid 70's, was in the hospital twice yesterday, my ex husband (and father of my daughter) decided to quit being a father, and then another person from my past (whom I believe literally works for the devil) is trying to get back into my life. Today, I know that all solutions can be found between your knees and the floor. Prayer after prayer yesterday, I find myself stronger, more confident and blessed. My dad is fine (some recent medication had him dehydrated), and I know the rest of the issues will be sorted out in due time. With the Lord by my side, I will be successful. I was able to stay on track with my eating and exercising, and I am ready for my workout today! PUSH IT!!
