Ask your body to be stronger and it will be stronger!
Exercising seems to be getting easier, everything except for the running. But I think a lot of that has to do with my 4 year old in the jogging stroller adding 40 pounds to my run. Sticking with my eating options is easier than I thought. I have been able to find some really tasty healthy options for my carbs (baked sweet potatoes), so I still look forward to my food, and I do not feel like I am starving myself or eating cardboard. Portion control has been easier than I thought it would be as well. I have started using a smaller plate, and eating slower has helped me noticed when my body says "I'm full". Then I know to stop, even if I see half of my food still on the plate (this part took some practice) :D
All in all, I'm 22 lbs down. 37 lbs to go!
With the Lord all things are possible...Let's do it!

RED LOBSTER.... It was Grandma's birthday yesterday, so we took her to Red Lobster for dinner. My thought process was "It's a place with seafood, so finding a healthy meal should be easy". What I failed to remember was this is the place with the yummy garlic cheddar rolls and where everything is covered with a garlic butter sauce. On top of having so many calorie filled options in front of me, I was also working on only 3 hours of sleep (I work till 4am in the morning and had to get up early for church, then drive 2 hours to visit grandma)so the option of gorging was the "easy" choice. But alas, I almost cried as I abstained from the rolls and ordered the Plain Salmon with Steamed Broccoli and Asparagus (not even giving into the rice pilaf). In the end, it was perfect...I had a healthy meal that filled me up and I didn't regret it 20 minutes later. It was a true test of my relationship between my body and food.
On this Monday I am exhausted and already ready for a nap, it's only 9am :) My young daughter no longer allows naps to happen in our home, so I am going to keep pushing and hope that after my workout I regain some energy to make it through the evening.
I hope everyone has a blessed week.

I DID IT!!! I haven't gotten to my goal weight, but I have hit the 20 pound loss marker. I am so very excited. In all my yo yo dieting I have never lost more than 10 pounds at a time. This is a huge milestone for me. I am very thankful to everyone for their help and support. With about 30 pounds to go, I am eager to get things kicked into high gear. A special thank you to my great savior who has walked beside me every step of the way and to my wonderful husband and daughter who have given up some of their favorite foods without one complaint. But instead have literally cheered me on with every pound loss, and encouraged me through every hiccup I have encountered so far. 20 POUNDS!!! YES! YES, I CAN!!!

I need to loose 1 more pound! Not to get to my goal weight, but to get to a 20 pound loss since I started. I am very excited. I went from a size 16 to a size 14 this week. I am looking forward to size 12. I haven't seen jeans that size since high school. WOW! I'm on my way. :D
